Gr8ter

Gr8ter We Are Gr8ter. We believe in mental health recovery. We empower people to overcome mental health struggles in order to live the lives they desire.

Gr8ter empowers people affected by mental and emotional struggles to overcome the shame that may be holding them back so they can reach their full potential. For so many of us, a diagnosis or struggle can bring on feelings of hopelessness or that we can’t achieve what we really want. YOU deserve to have Gr8ter joy, Gr8ter relationships, and Gr8ter success. We believe that all people can reach thei

r full potential when they have the mindset, support and tools they need. At Gr8ter, you will find us, people just like you, who are not just striving, but thriving as we live, work, and play in spite of the labels put on us by the world. Here, you will see how you can do and be more than your highs and lows. Join us...and let’s become Gr8ter together!

We often get asked why nonprofits fundraise.

The truth is simple.

Behind every event, every project, and every moment of connection is time, effort, and people showing up to make it happen.

From the Socks Project to Top of Tamarack to Trail Fridays, there are countless hours that go into creating spaces where people feel supported and not alone. (peep this view from one of our Trail Fridays members)

Donations during Idaho Gives help make that possible.

Your support doesn’t just fund projects.

It helps create moments of connection, hope, and community.

If you feel compelled to give this year our goal is $3000! Help us hit that goal!

Prevention starts with awareness — but it doesn’t stop there 💜

We all have a role in creating safer spaces.
✨ Respect boundaries
✨ Believe survivors
✨ Speak up when something isn’t right

At Gr8ter, we stand for respect, safety, and accountability.

Silence protects harm.

Speaking up creates change.

World Book Day

Today we’re celebrating stories that inspire, heal, and remind us who we are… and we couldn’t think of a better person to highlight than one of our own 🤍

✨ Kayla Jones
Gr8ter Board Member
Author of A Day of Hope
Founder of Hopes Highways

Kayla’s story is more than a book — it’s a movement.
After years of giving everything to everyone else, she made a commitment to herself:
👉 one full day each month, just for her.

For 14 years, she’s honored that promise — creating space to rest, reflect, dream, and reconnect. And from that, A Day of Hope was born.

Her message is simple, but powerful:
✨ You need to give yourself love in order to love others.

At Gr8ter, we talk a lot about movement, connection, and purpose… and Kayla’s work fits so naturally alongside that — reminding us that we’re allowed to take care of ourselves too.
✨ Permission to rest
✨ Permission to take up space
✨ Permission to be whole

If you’re looking for a book that truly moves something inside you… this is it.

We are so grateful to have Kayla on the Gr8ter board and part of this community.

There’s nothing better than being out on the trails. 🌲

Fresh air. Quiet moments. Movement. Connection.

Earth Day is a reminder of how lucky we are to have these spaces — and how important it is to take care of them.

Get outside today. 💚

Breathe it in.

158 days!

We dropped off our last Sock Project boxes for the season… and ended it in a really special way 🤍

Because of Bombas and their continued generosity, we receive thousands of socks each year — more than we could ever fit into our kits.

So anything extra goes right back into the community.

This time, that meant delivering a few hundred pairs to a Title I school here in the Treasure Valley — a school that supports mostly low-income families and provides a food pantry for students.

Before the school year ends, those socks will go directly to kids who need them.

It’s a simple thing.
But it matters.
And it’s a reminder that small acts of kindness can go a long way.

If you have been thinking about Trail Fridays this is your sign to join us.

From a participant:
“Logging the miles wasn’t just about numbers; it was about consistency and discipline. In the end, it wasn’t just about how far I went, but about being someone who keeps going.” —--being someone who keeps going"

This is what your support looks like… 🤍

Every week, something really special happens out on the trails.
People show up—sometimes excited, sometimes exhausted, sometimes carrying things they don’t even have words for yet.

And before we even take a step…
we pause.
We connect.
We remind each other that we’re not doing this life alone.
Then we move. Together.

Trail Fridays has become more than a hike or a run.
It’s a space where people can breathe.
A place to belong.
A community that shows up—week after week.
And the truth is… spaces like this don’t just happen on their own.

From planning routes, coordinating leaders, creating a safe and welcoming environment, to building the kind of community that keeps people coming back… it all takes time, energy, and resources to sustain.

That’s where Idaho Gives comes in. 🤍
Your support helps us continue creating this space—
week after week, mile after mile, person by person.

A space where movement meets mental health.
Where connection becomes healing.
Where community changes lives.

If Trail Fridays has ever impacted you…
or if you believe in what we’re building…

We’d love your support.
Every dollar helps keep this going. 🫶

Strong communities protect children 💙

When families feel supported, children are safer.

Prevention looks like:
✨ Checking in on a struggling parent
✨ Offering help instead of judgment
✨ Creating safe, supportive spaces

At Gr8ter, we build community through connection, movement, and purpose — because no one is meant to do life alone.

Support doesn’t have to be big to matter.

Who’s someone you can check in on today?

04/17/2026

This is how it starts… 🤍

Before the miles.
Before the climb.
Before the summit.

We circle up.

WIFLE — What I Feel Like Expressing.

Just a few seconds per person…
something happy, something hard, something in between.
No pressure. Just real.

It’s a check-in.
A moment to be seen.
A reminder that you’re not doing life alone.

And somehow, that simple act of sharing…
turns into connection.
Into support.

Into a community that shows up for each other—on and off the trail.
This is the heart behind it all.
This is what makes it more than just a hike or a run.

It’s what you feel out there…
and what carries all the way to the top. 🥾✨

If you know, you know.
If you don’t… come see for yourself. 🤍

Healing doesn’t look the same for everyone 💜
For some it’s therapy.
For some it’s movement.
For some it’s simply making it through the day.
There is no “right way” to heal — only your way.

At Gr8ter, we believe in healing through connection, movement, and purpose.
Take what you need. Move at your pace.

You’re allowed to heal differently.

We shared an article and would love for you to read. SA assault awareness is about sharing stories. If this resonates with you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Top of Tamarack started as a simple idea: climb a mountain together and honor the journeys we all carry.

Since then it has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined.
Every year people hike, run, or ride to the top carrying stories of hope, healing, loss, and resilience.

Some climb for loved ones they’ve lost.
Some climb for their own mental health journey.
Some climb simply to show that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.

What makes Top of Tamarack special isn’t just the mountain.

It’s the people who show up for each other.

Donations during Idaho Gives help support the planning and coordination that makes this event possible each year.

Because none of us climb our mountains alone.
