It is winter time again. Here in the Chicago area we are experiencing bitter cold in early December. The situation in many other regions is similar.
Winter has brought many respiratory illnesses such as ‘flu, cough and cold other diseases even pneumonia. Children and older people are more prone to these illnesses.
Many of these illnesses can be prevented by staying warm and avoiding crowded places, or wearing masks while traveling by air, buses and trains.
Please cover your head when going outdoors to prevent heat loss from bodies.

It is almost summer.
Time for barbecues and cookouts.
Please make sure that items you cook reach a proper temperature to avoid the risk of food poisoning.

It has been a while simce I posted something. Actually I am in Austin Texas with my daughter and her family enjoying the milder weather. It is nice to be away from the bitter cold of the Chicago arrea.

It’s time for me to talk to you again. Middle of February, we start thinking of spring. Here in the Northern states, it is still some weeks away but in the South and the West coast, spring id already there. Just ask anybody with seasonal allergies.
Cough, itchy throat, itchy and runny nose, sneezes are the tell tale symptoms. Symptoms are brought on by inhaling grass pollen, leaves, w**d, seeds even strong smells of flowers!

Dear people: The first snowfall of this season is just around the corner and that means increased risk of acquiring respiratory infections such as cold, cough, ‘flu and even serious illnesses such as pneumonia.
I personally believe in the ’flu shot as a preventive measure. At the very least, it prevents serious infection and complications in most cases. The principle of ‘flu shot is very similar to homeopathy.
Before getting a ‘flu shot, please do consult your Primary Care Physician to make sure that it is is safe for you. This is absolutely necessary.
