Established in 2017, Bolingbrook Eye Care & Eyewear Gallery is an independent optometry practice, owned by Dr. David Varney and Dr. Kasia Aleszczyk Varney.

Beginning Monday, May 4th we will begin to resume regular hours. We will be seeing patients for routine eye exams and fitting of glasses and contacts. There are a few very important items to go over before we move along to getting you scheduled.

For your safety and for ours, please review the following:

Appointments will be limited to one per hour.

You must come wearing some sort of personal protective equipment (PPE) like a face mask or some type of covering. If you do not, you will be asked to leave.

Please limit your visit to yourself only if possible. Please leave family members or friends at home or in your vehicle. This will help reduce exposure and transmission.

If you are feeling ill or sick please do not enter the office and reschedule your appointment by phone or email.

As soon as you enter the office we ask that you wash your hands immediately.

Please reduce excessive touching of frames and the frames you do try on, please place in trays provided to be sanitized.

All frames and equipment will be disinfected and sanitized between patients.

Our staff and doctors will be wearing PPE and frequently disinfecting their hands and equipment

We are taking every precaution to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and these are just the first steps to regaining normalcy. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times.

This is an update in regards to the lock down issued by Governor Pritzker.

Our office will continue to maintain limited hours to provide our patients with any urgent eye care matters. These include but are not not limited to trauma to the eyes; pain, redness, or sensitivity to light; sudden loss of vision; flashes or floaters; sudden lost or broken glasses; and contact lens related emergencies.

Anyone in need of ordering contact lenses, regardless of an expired prescription, will be allowed to order a 3 months supply of dailies or 6 month supply of monthly or bi-weekly contacts.

If you happen to break or lose your glasses, we will allow you to come in and purchase new ones.

There will be no routine eye exams scheduled until further notice. We will try to contact everyone currently scheduled to reschedule.

Our hours of business will continue to be the following until further notice:

Monday 10 AM - 5 PM
Wednesday 10 AM - 5 PM
Thursday 10 AM - 5 PM

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST:

At this time, the CDC and the American Optometric Association have recommended that all routine eye care across the nation be postponed until further notice. We will be contacting patients to reschedule appointments as efficiently as possible.

We will still be open but with reduced hours. As of 03/19/20, we will only be open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 AM to 5 PM until further notice.

***WE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR URGENT MEDICAL EYE PROBLEMS***
We will be allowing pick up of glasses and contact lenses during our limited hours, as well as, ordering of contact and glasses.
