Let’s be honest—talking about urinary problems isn’t exactly at the top of anyone’s list. But when those symptoms start disrupting your sleep, your daily routine, or your peace of mind, it’s time to take them seriously.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a very common condition in men where an enlarged prostate presses on the urinary tract. Nearly half of men by age 60 and up to 90% by age 85 will experience symptoms of BPH.

A new treatment option is available at CMH called Aquablation® therapy. It is a new, minimally invasive treatment for BPH, also known as enlarged prostate. CMH is among the first hospitals in the area to offer the minimally invasive procedure that uses a robotically controlled waterjet to remove excess prostate tissue without heat.

Today is World Stroke Day, October 29

A stroke can happen to anyone, at any age. Globally, 1 in 4 adults over 25 will experience a stroke in their lifetime.

Recognizing the signs early and calling 911 immediately can save a life. Stroke is treatable if caught quickly.

Remember to BE FAST:
B – Balance: Sudden loss of balance, headache or dizziness
E – Eyes: Blurred or double vision
F – Face: One side of the face is drooping
A – Arms: Arm or leg weakness
S – Speech: Slurred or strange speech
T – Time: Time to call for an ambulance immediately

Other possible symptoms to watch for:
Sudden numbness, confusion, trouble seeing, trouble walking or a severe headache.

Know the signs. Act FAST. Save a life.
