Time to fall back!
Daylight Saving Time ends tomorrow, Nov. 2. Before you head to bed tonight, set your clocks back one hour and enjoy a little extra sleep.

It’s also a great reminder to test your smoke detectors and replace the batteries to keep your home safe.

Today is World Stroke Day, October 29

A stroke can happen to anyone, at any age. Globally, 1 in 4 adults over 25 will experience a stroke in their lifetime.

Recognizing the signs early and calling 911 immediately can save a life. Stroke is treatable if caught quickly.

Remember to BE FAST:
B – Balance: Sudden loss of balance, headache or dizziness
E – Eyes: Blurred or double vision
F – Face: One side of the face is drooping
A – Arms: Arm or leg weakness
S – Speech: Slurred or strange speech
T – Time: Time to call for an ambulance immediately

Other possible symptoms to watch for:
Sudden numbness, confusion, trouble seeing, trouble walking or a severe headache.

Know the signs. Act FAST. Save a life.

Congratulations to the first baby born at CMH in 2025, Estella Grace Carlin, the daughter of David and Bethany Carlin of Osceola. Sarah Kallberg, D.O., with CMH OB/GYN Clinic delivered Estella at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1. Estella weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Michael and Marty Ashcraft, and paternal grandparents are David Carlin Romo and Beronica Bravo Bautista.
