There are 2 types of IV fluids:
✔️normal saline;
✔️and lactated ringers.

Normal saline combines sodium chloride and sterile water. Lactated ringers have the same ingredients as normal saline, plus sodium lactate, potassium chloride, and calcium chloride.💧

Most of the patients need normal saline for their hydration needs, however, lactated ringers could provide more electrolytes!

Keep in mind to always consult a medical service provider before choosing your IV fluids! 💉
