There is something strangely satisfying about biting into an apple or eating corn right off the cob and this treatment modality allows our patients to again function as they did before losing their teeth. Periodontal (gum) disease affects 538 million people and is the leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. In this case, the remaining teeth became loose and were replaced with dental implants. For the “wow factor” bleach shade zirconia bridges were fabricated to restore his confidence and smile. Routine maintenance visits with our hygiene team for air polishing and patient commitment for excellent home care are key for longevity!

Dental implants are not better than natural teeth. But they are the best replacement for no teeth. Tooth decay is one the biggest causes for tooth loss and in this case we missed the chance to save the teeth. Fortunately, we were able to replace the failing teeth in one visit with 6 immediate implants to support this custom zirconia bridge. The bridge is screwed on to .us multi unit abutments in a retrievable design which allows for easy service of implants at hygiene visits. The shape of the bridge is very similar to natural teeth and does not cover the palate like a traditional denture. Staining and glazing the zirconia allows us to replicate nature and make each smile as unique as the patient - I love the age appropriate esthetics accomplished here!
