KATELYNN SAUNDERS-KOSTA, MA, LMHC

Meet Katelynn

My therapeutic approach is evidenced based. We will identify your goals and work on empowering you to overcome obstacles that may be in your way. The therapeutic experience will develop more effective personal skills to improve every aspect of you're life. I have worked in the helping profession since 2010, serving adults and teens in several different roles. I have experience working with daily stressors, beginning college life, emotion regulation skills, stress, and negative self-talk.

I like to view my role as collaborating with you to achieve a greater awareness of yourself and to develop more effective patterns of behavior reducing undesirable or troubling emotions and interpersonal conflicts.

Katelynn is available via Telehealth and is In-Network with most major insurances.

KATIE RAINS, LMHC

Meet Katie

Individuals:
I am a seasoned therapist with a diverse background spanning community mental health, residential care for adolescents, and private practice. Before transitioning into therapy, I worked as a special education teacher in private and charter schools, equipping me with a deep understanding of neurodivergent minds and the unique challenges they face.

My clinical expertise centers on ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and identity-related concerns, including gender, sexuality, and adoption. With extensive experience working with children and adolescents, I am uniquely positioned to support not only children and adolescents but their parents as they navigate the complexities of raising children with special needs or emotional and behavioral challenges.

I have a strong focus on working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with ADHD. My approach is action-oriented and rooted in behavioral therapy, helping clients develop concrete strategies to improve executive functioning, organization, and emotional regulation. ADHD comes with distinct challenges, from time management and task initiation to impulsivity and emotional sensitivity. I help clients build effective routines, strengthen their decision-making skills, and cultivate self-compassion in the face of ADHD-related struggles.

Couples:
As a couples therapist, I integrate two powerful therapeutic approaches to help partners create lasting positive change. The Gottman Method, developed through over four decades of research with thousands of couples, provides a structured framework to build friendship, manage conflict effectively, and create shared meaning in relationships. This evidence-based approach helps couples develop practical skills for navigating disagreements while deepening their emotional connection.

I complement this foundation with Relational Life Therapy, pioneered by Terry Real, which addresses the deeper patterns that can create distance between partners. This approach helps couples move beyond surface-level conflicts to heal underlying hurts and develop genuine intimacy. By combining these methods, I can help partners develop concrete communication tools and address the root causes of their struggles.

Whether you're struggling with ongoing conflicts, emotional distance, or recovering after infidelity, I create a space where both partners feel heard and respected as we work together toward meaningful change.

Katie is available via Telehealth/OnlineVideo and will work with your Out Of Network benefits

BECCA JOHNSTONE, MA, LMFTA

Meet Becca

Life can be overwhelming, and it’s easy to lose touch with what truly matters. Navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or major life transitions can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected. Often, the patterns we experience in our minds, bodies, and relationships are deeply ingrained, making it difficult to break free or move forward.

Together, we’ll explore these challenges not just through words, but by fostering embodied awareness. By uncovering and addressing the patterns stored in your body, mind, and relationships, we can create space for healing and transformation. Our work together will focus on aligning your experiences, building resilience, and rediscovering your authentic self—through both mind and body.

I approach therapy with a deep respect for your unique social and cultural identities, recognizing that your experiences and background shape how you navigate the world. I draw from a variety of approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These diverse tools help me meet you where you are and create a personalized approach for your growth. With compassion and care, I will help you explore your challenges, build resilience, and work through the layers of your identity in a way that honors your journey. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to heal and thrive. I earned my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and I am Gottman Level 1 certified.

Becca is available in-person and accepting new clients: Teens/Adults/Couples/Family

Occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. But people with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) feel extremely worried or feel nervous about these and other things—even when there is little or no reason to worry about them. Visit https://go.nih.gov/iLcGFYV to learn more.

Breath Work for Stress

Sighing Breathing:

Take a deep, exaggerated sigh, releasing all tension with the exhalation.

Repeat for several sighs.

Notice if there is any difference in your mind or body.

And like most things breath work is a practice, so it needs to be practiced!
