Job Duties:
Front Office Duties
Guide Patient Care in a Caring Competent Manner
Use tele-health technology to guide patient care
Create professional, trustworthy, compassionate relationships with patients
Create and maintain positive relationships with other providers, pharmacies, and specialties
Quarterback Communications Across Colleagues
Tiger Connect and Microsoft TEAMS to communicate with other team members
Contact patients for intake; log patient information into EMR. Record vitals into each patient’s chart, adjust and update medication lists, update contracts and consent forms, update demographics information and insurance info, log lab results into EHR
Schedule Patients and make follow - up calls to coordinate care
Send new patient packets inclusive of medical history questionnaire & consent forms. Review for accuracy when returned
Manage Patient Data in the EMR including uploading faxed and mailed correspondence to patient charts
Pre-Populate documents for provider signatures as appropriate
Verify information on PMP to help manage Patient Prescriptions
Verify Benefits and Eligibility
Coordinate prior authorizations for medications, medical equipment, appointments, and referrals
Respond to home health agencies, SNF, ALF & AFH phone and faxed requests
Back Office duties:
Seat Patients for providers including asking and entering patient history, medication reviews, and other forms needed
Complete Vitals and record in EHR
Complete Urine tests as requested by provider
Lab - all tasks related to drawing of blood and processing for submittal to local laboratories
Minimum Requirements:
One (1) year experience in a physician's office or other medical facility preferred. New grads are considered.
Skills, knowledge, comfort, aptitude, and competence with Front Office Duties
Medical assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant certification from an accredited training program
Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) or Medical Administrative Assistant
