These scammers can spoof any number so be aware. This same scam has also happened for Teare which they also mispronounce- the call I observed came from a loud call center - best advice: Hang up and call the business directly

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Phone Spoofing Alert:
We have been made aware that local residents are receiving fraudulent phone calls that appear to be coming from our official hospital or clinic phone numbers. This is a tactic known as "spoofing," where scammers mask their true identity to gain your trust.

How to Identify a Scam Call

While our staff may contact you regarding appointments or follow-up care, please be aware of these red flags:
Requests for Sensitive Data: Ochiltree Hospital District and Perryton Health Center will never call you to ask for your Social Security number or Medicare information over the phone in an unsolicited manner.
Mispronunciations: We are your neighbors and we know our home. Scammers often mispronounce Ochiltree or Perryton. If the caller struggles with these names, it is a major red flag.
Urgency or Pressure: Scammers often use high-pressure tactics to get you to act quickly.

What You Should Do
If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from us:
Hang Up Immediately: Do not provide any personal or financial information.
Call Us Directly: To verify if a call was legitimate, manually dial our official numbers:
Ochiltree Hospital District: 806-435-3606
Perryton Health Center: 806-435-7224
