Our residents at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living enjoyed a delightful trip to the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum!

They spent the afternoon exploring beautiful exhibits and admiring local artwork. It was a wonderful opportunity to get out, share some laughs, spark great conversations, and appreciate the creativity and culture that make our area so special.

A big thank you to the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum for providing such an inspiring place for our residents to visit. We love creating meaningful moments and new memories together in our community! 💙

🌟 Meet Our Team: Amanda Berry, Executive Director 🌟

Amanda has been a cherished part of the Deerfield Ridge family for 8 years and brings 25 years of nursing experience in various roles. She shares, “I love working at Deerfield Ridge for the people—there are wonderful people we love to serve. I have a servant’s heart and always want to give back.” 💙

When she’s not caring for our residents, Amanda enjoys:

🐾 Hiking with her dogs

✨🧘‍♀️ There are real benefits to renewal and self-love, and guests recently experienced just that at Deerfield Ridge.

Matt Rand led an engaging introductory Tai Chi class, sharing beginner formations along with the history and purpose behind the practice. 🌿

Guests then enjoyed a fresh, healthy lunch prepared by Cullen Lee — featuring Bison Wraps, Burnt Ends Turkey Cuban Sandwiches, protein smoothies, and naturally sweetened treats made in-house. 🍎🥤

🐑💛 Our residents were all smiles during a very special visit from some fluffy baby lambs! 🐑💛

From sweet snuggles to lots of laughter — and a little debate over who was cutest (the lambs may have won 🥰) — it was a joy-filled day all around.

Their tiny “baaas” and soft cuddles stole plenty of hearts and left everyone feeling warm and fuzzy. Life is just sweeter with baby lambs! 🌼✨

Our Deerfield Ridge residents had a blast cheering on the Appalachian State Mountaineers 🏀🖤💛 at Appalachian State University! 🎉🙌

From every basket 🏀 to the roar of the crowd 📣, the energy was contagious! Residents showed their Mountaineer pride 💛🖤, shared smiles 😄, and high-fives ✋ along the way.

They surprised our residents with beautiful flowers 🌷💐, warm hugs 🤗, and the biggest smiles 😄✨. There’s something so special about seeing different generations come together 👵👶 to spread joy and kindness 💕💞💫!
