Verlin Potts will be flying from Arizona to Chicago to start rehab. Verlin and Kathy's dogs would like to catch a ride back to Iowa. If anyone is still in the area, Kathy can get the dogs to you if you can get them somewhere close to Iowa. Good traveling dogs. We can figure out how to make it work if someone is headed north. Midwest Equine Surgery & Sports Medicine Hospital in Central
Iowa is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician for a full and part time positions considered. We will also accept applications from graduates of an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technician program who will be eligible to take the VTNE within 6 months of hire. We are a new, rapidly growing hospital with the DVM being both DACVS and DACVSMR.
We perform predominantly elective surgery and sports medicine.

Responsibilities include assisting with lameness examinations,
radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy, surgery, and general anesthesia.
The goal is for the technician to be actively involved in patient care.
The technician needs to be comfortable with horses and have
interest in surgery and anesthesia.
Salary will be competitive based on experience.

We are looking for a professional technician to be involved in all facets of the practice to continue practice growth. The actual job description
can be based on the individual hired. We are looking for someone
interested in a career and we will assist with continuing education
and expanding their skill set to contribute to the practice. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, flexible, and willing to learn.
Because we are predominantly an elective surgery and sports
medicine hospital there is limited night and weekends and flexibility in time off.
We will consider technicians at different skill levels and can consider hiring two technicians.
