Freedom Farm Ministries

Freedom Farm Ministries The mission of Freedom Farm Ministries is to offer restoration through the transforming power of Jesus.

In September 2006, Freedom Farm Ministries began with three men in a recently renovated double-wide. Now Freedom Farm houses up to 45 men in six locations with three unique program phases. Freedom Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry serving men by helping them grow in a life centered in Jesus Christ. Hundreds of men have already received that new life, and many have renewed health, renewed rep

utations and been reunited with family. Most importantly, these men have gained a new or restored faith through repentance and belief in our savior Jesus Christ.

"Freedom Farm Ministries is one of the great earthly storehouses of God's blessings. Grace, hope, freedom, truth, life, and even salvation can be found here through the divine work of the Spirit in FFM.

Like most men, I came here searching! I grew up in the church and felt our Lord's call early. I knew that I was a sinner bound for hell and I needed Jesus to save me from that. This incomplete understanding of the Gospel led to a life full of self. At every turn I was becoming more and more ensnared in sin's grip, despite my intentions being set on Christianity.

Jesus spoke of seed being sown amongst thorns and that was mostly my experience. The word was implanted in me, but my love for the world consistently choked out any knowledge of Christ I had in my heart. Somewhere along the way, God's grace came hurling out of heaven and utterly destroyed every barrier I had constructed in my life and I haven't been the same since!

God has developed in me a hunger for more of Him! He placed FFM right in my path to be a threshing floor for my faith, to continually foster a healthy belief in the Gospel while also encouraging and holding space for me to put to death anything that hinders me.

FFM has helped me to zero in on not only what I am saved FROM, but what I am saved FOR. As David Michael says, "Here, we talk about sin alot, but we talk about grace more." Grace is where the freedom to obey flows from like a river down the face of a mountain.

I believe FFM at its core is a domestic missions ministry founded on the principles we see Jesus urging us towards in Matthew 28:19. An evangelism that doesn't end at conversion, but spurs on the active work of sanctification."

We were recently blessed with a generous lumber donation from our friend Mark Church of in Wilkesboro. Several of our men have strong woodworking skills and have been crafting beautiful pieces to sell in the thrift store.

Many items have sold quickly and even opened the door for custom projects. If you’re stopping by the store, be sure to check out what they’ve been building.

We’re excited to share that John, a current resident, has stepped into a new job with Reliance Timber.

His employment is a strong step forward and a sign of growth and responsibility. John has been faithful in the small things, and it’s encouraging to see the Lord open doors as he continues walking in obedience. Moments like this matter. Not because everything is finished, but because progress is happening.

We're grateful to see men stepping into new opportunities and learning what it means to work, live, and follow Christ faithfully.

The stone was rolled away—and with it, every chain.

Death was defeated. Hope was restored. And because He lives, new life is possible for all of us.

“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.”

It was love that held Him on the cross.
It was love that made Him pay the cost.
It was love now I can plainly see.
It was love, wonderful love, He had for you and me.

We're excited to share our March Updates:

✋️ With a recent influx of new men, we’re grateful to share that we now have our first full Restoration group—five men—for the first time in over a year. Please be praying for each of them as they walk through this 40-day season, that their hearts would be open and receptive to the truth being poured into them.

🏡 We also have a praise report—an appraiser has officially been engaged and will begin work on April 1st. This is a meaningful step forward as we continue pursuing a centralized campus. We’re encouraged and trusting the Lord for continued progress throughout this year.

🌼 As the season for outdoor projects picks up, our Property Maintenance team is currently taking calls and scheduling bids for property maintenance work. If you have something around your home that needs attention, please call us at (828) 406-2642.

Please continue to lift up our staff and their families. This work can be demanding and often comes with real spiritual resistance. We’re thankful for your prayers and encouragement as we press on.

One of our residents recently returned from a trip to Israel with our local church and had the opportunity to share his experience with the ministry. From walking through places he had only read about in Scripture, to seeing God’s faithfulness in his own journey—it was a meaningful time of reflection.

Moments like this remind us that the work God is doing here goes far beyond the day-to-day. He’s building faith that carries into the world.

Grateful to witness men growing, sharing, and walking forward in truth.

Spring is finally here. 🌿 We love this season and all it represents: new life, joy, flourishing.

"My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away." — Song of Solomon 2: 10-13, KJV
