Larry Ken Lowder, beloved husband and father, 89, of Booneville, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. He was born November 8, 1936, in Paris, Arkansas.

He was a member of the Heritage Addition Church of Christ, served in the Arkansas Army National Guard, and retired from Today’s Kids as a Traffic Manager after 30+ years of dedicated service. Additionally, he was a member of both the National Cutting Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. He loved raising quarter horses, as well as training and showcasing cutting horses. He also was an avid quail hunter and deeply enjoyed dancing, especially western swing dancing, with the love of his life, Juanita. He was a wonderful friend to everyone, always willing to help.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hermon Glen and Alta Morene Lowder.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Bulger Memorial Chapel in Booneville, with burial at Cauthron Cemetery, under the direction of Bulger Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Bulger Funeral Home.

Larry leaves behind his bride of 70 years, Juanita Lowder of the home; daughter, Melessa Lowder (Mike Wiser) of Booneville; sister, Betty Scharbor of Booneville; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Justin Moore, Mark Whitaker, Charlie Miesner, Will Beason, Tommy Robinson, Mike Wiser, Billy Wiginton, and Robert Bulger

Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Britton, Harold Franklin, John Ed Andrews, Tom Wiggins, James Fields, Dr. Lyndon Tate, Jerry Fuller, Dale Downs, and Magazine High School Class of 1954 and Class of 1955

The family would like to thank all of Larry’s wonderful caregivers who loved and cared for him and made it possible for him to remain at home for his final years.

Michael “Mike” Ray Sheppard, 71, of Booneville, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He was born June 18, 1954, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Dewitt Frank and Wilta Fay Sheppard.

He is preceded in death by his parents before mentioned and sister, Virginia Bradley.

He previously worked at Correll and loved watching old movies, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with his grandkids.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Starting Point Church with burial at Ellington Cemetery, under the direction of Bulger Funeral Home. There will be no graveside service.

Prior to the service on Saturday, visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.

Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Loretta Sheppard of the home; son, Dr. Brian D. Sheppard (Jennifer) of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter, Tamera Montgomery (Daniel) of Booneville, Arkansas; brother, Randy Sheppard (Gayla) of Magazine, Arkansas; grandchildren, Luke Sheppard, Austin Goff, Raylea Creech, and Kyle Montgomery; and other relatives and friends.
