Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 starting 11:00 am with funeral to follow at 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Brother Cecil Howard will be officiating the servive. Vernon will be laid to rest in the Baker Family Cemetery.

Steven Craig Callahan, 55, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away on February 10, 2026 at his residence following a brief illness.

Craig is survived by his mother Virginia Begley Callahan, one brother, David Callahan (Charolette Moore), two nephews; Dillion “Angela” Callahan, Dalton “Kelly” Callahan and one niece, Hunter “Tyler” Parker.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 13th, at 12:00 pm at Searcy & Strong Funeral home, followed by funeral services at 1:00 pm, officiated by Brother Rob Morgan. Craig will be laid to rest at the Callahan Cemetery in Booneville, Kentucky.

Khloey Jacqueline Delan Wilder, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece, passed away on Friday, February 6th, 2026, in Beattyville, Kentucky.

Khloey is survived by her parents Troy Napier and Samantha Rice, two brothers Kody and Josiah Wilder, her grandparents Debra Wilder, Jacqueline Thomas and Samuel Rice, and one great grandmother Bessie Wilder.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 at 10:00 am at Searcy and Strong Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 1:00 pm, officiated by Brother Garland Lacey.

Geraldine Marshall Minter, 79, of Ricetown, Kentucky passed away on January 19th, 2026 at the ARH Advanced Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky following a brief illness.

Geraldine is survived by her son; Jason “Rachelle” Minter, three grandsons; Owen Minter, Aiden Minter and Waylon Jace Oliver, one brother; Wallace “Marie” Marshall and one sister; Geneva “Letcher” Combs.

Irene Young Tutt, 54, of Beattyville, Kentucky passed away on January 16th, 2026 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky following a long illness.

Irene is survived by her husband; Donald Dale Tutt, daughter; Brittany “Curtis” Gampfer, son; Jeffrey Derek Sizemore, four grandchildren; Trenton Herald, Keegan Herald, Emaleigh Herald and Jalaya Hager, two special children; Nova and Adyline Harvey, mother; Ann “Freddy” Turner, three sisters; Janice “Leroy Ratliff” Young, Dorothy Shouse, and Ruby Nell Marshall and two brothers; Tyler “Hunter” Parker and Jack “Diann” Young.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19th, 2026 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Searcy & Strong Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00pm.

Lois Dean Cornett Johnson, 81, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away January 7, 2026 at her residence.

Lois was baptized in 1954 at the First Baptist Church of Booneville, Kentucky, and attended Lerose Community Church in Booneville, Kentucky.

Lois is survived by her children Charlie “Phyllis Barrett” Johnson, Harold “Tanya Brandenburg” Johnson, Trish “Jesse Jr.” Bishop, ten grandchildren Ronnie “Jennifer” Sandlin, Sheyenne Johnson, Heather “Brent” Lynch, Charlie Johnson Brewer, Brionna “Eric Kilburn” Johnson, Jessica “Jacob” Burns, Jasmine Johnson, Adrian Bishop, Jessalyn Bishop, and Arabella Bishop. Fifteen Great grandchildren Kaley, Kimber & Koleman Sandlin, Lexy, Laya, Zayden Lynch, Ellie Jo & Everlee Havicus and Evelyn Brewer, Weston Hoskins, Lukaiah Kilburn, Harlen, Maverick & Callie Beth Burns, Carter Caudill, one great-great grandchild Kade Douglas Polly and one brother Larry “Joan” Cornett. Several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents John and Dora Smith Cornett, two sons Donnie Ray Johnson and Robert Johnson, Jr. Three brothers Junior, Ova, and Jimmy. Seven sisters Ida, Ruby, Helen, Thelma, Dorothy, Clara and Edna.

Pallbearers will be Charlie, Harold, Jesse, Wyatt, Ronnie, Brent, Jake and Kaleb.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, January 12, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Brother Adam Stall officiating. Burial will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery at Chestnut Gap, Kentucky.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eileen Deaton Price, one son Devon “Rita” Price, two grandchildren Abigail “Jason” Hurt, Alex Price and one sister Wilma Congleton, two sister-in-laws Janet Price, Ollie Turner and one brother-in-law Jerry “Kay” Deaton.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home.
