Fridays at Treehouse are full of smiles, laughter, and celebrating all the amazing things our kiddos have learned this week! From tiny first steps in the infant room 👶 to preschool problem-solving and creativity 🎨, every classroom has been busy growing minds and hearts.

This week we practiced:

We are so proud of our little learners and so thankful for the families who trust us each day. Watching these children build confidence, friendships, and independence is the best way to end our week!

Good nutrition is a BIG part of growing little minds and bodies at Owl’s Treehouse Childcare & Learning Center! 🥞🍎🥪

From our sweet infants, to our busy toddlers, all the way to our curious preschoolers, we make sure every child receives healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day.

We focus on:

✨ Kid-friendly favorites
✨ Full, happy tummies ready to learn

Meal times are more than just eating — they’re moments for learning manners, practicing independence, trying new foods, and building healthy habits that last a lifetime. 💛

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to our amazing kitchen manager, Mary Bogan (our beloved “Granny” 🥰). Her heart for feeding children shines through every meal she prepares. She makes sure our babies and big kids alike are well taken care of, and we are so thankful for her dedication and love!

At The Owl’s TreeHouse Childcare and Learning Center, we believe that children learn best through play. Our philosophy is rooted in the idea of playing to learn and learning to play where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every experience becomes an opportunity for growth.

⚽🫧 Patterns + Fitness = Learning in Motion! 🫧⚽

This week at The Owl’s TreeHouse, our focus is on FITNESS, and we are combining movement with math! 💪📚

Our toddlers and preschoolers explored the form of patterns during math time. We talked about how patterns repeat (AB, ABB, ABC), and then we got creative by designing our own kickballs!

The children chose a fun texture — bubble wrap! 🫧 — to decorate their balls, creating repeating patterns while strengthening fine motor skills.

Since our theme is fitness, we tied it all together by practicing how to kick! ⚽
Through kicking activities, children are learning:
✨ Balance and coordination
✨ Body control
✨ Turn-taking
✨ Following directions
✨ How movement and learning connect

Hands-on math + sensory textures + active play = meaningful learning!

We love watching our little learners grow stronger in both their minds and their bodies. 💚

🐸💚 Jumping Into Self-Regulation! 💚🐸

In our toddler and preschool classrooms, we focused on building self-regulation skills in a fun and active way — through JUMPING!

Our lesson was all about animals that jump, and our friends chose one of their favorites… a FROG! 🐸

We talked about how frogs jump high and far, and how we can practice controlling our bodies the same way — stopping, starting, listening, and following directions. Jumping activities help children:
✨ Practice body control
✨ Improve balance and coordination
✨ Strengthen listening skills
✨ Build emotional regulation

To wrap up our lesson, we got creative and made our very own frog headbands! The children loved pretending to be frogs while practicing their “big jumps” and “quiet lily pad landings.”

Learning + Movement + Creativity = The perfect day at The Owl’s TreeHouse! 🦉

Each child wrote kind, uplifting words about their teachers and friends. From “You are kind and loving” to “You are a really good teacher” and “You are funny and nice” — their hearts shine so bright! 🌟

🦉✨ Staff Spotlight: Mary Bogan – Kitchen Manager / Lead Cook ✨🦉

Please help us celebrate Mary Bogan, lovingly known as “Granny” to many! 🥰

Mary is a proud grandmother of five and great-grandmother of four (so far!) — and caregiving has truly been her life’s work. She has spent most of her career caring for others, both children and the elderly. Many in our community may also recognize her from her time serving families at the public library.

At The Owl’s TreeHouse Childcare & Learning Center, Mary serves as our Kitchen Manager and Lead Cook, and we are so blessed to have her! 🍎🥕

Mary has always had a passion for feeding people — especially children. She is committed to:
✔️ Preparing healthy, nutritious meals
✔️ Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
✔️ Making sure every child feels cared for and well-fed
