🎄 The Holidays Look a Little Different at Horizon Renewal Center 🎄

✨ Our halls are fully decorated and ready for Christmas — filled with warmth, decorations, and hope. While many people are home celebrating the holidays with family, some individuals are choosing a different path this season: focusing on healing, recovery, and building a healthier future.

The holidays can be especially challenging for those navigating substance use recovery. At Horizon Renewal Center, our clients are surrounded by compassionate support, structured care, and encouragement every step of the way. Choosing treatment during this time takes incredible strength, and we are honored to walk alongside those who are doing the hard work of changing their lives.

Today, we had the privilege of engaging with the 2025 Class of Leadership Fort Smith to share an inside look at the programs and services offered by The Guidance Center—highlighting, in particular, the transformative work happening at Horizon Renewal Center.

As our residential treatment program for substance use recovery, Horizon Renewal Center provides a structured, therapeutic environment where individuals can heal, rebuild, and move forward with renewed purpose. Through evidence-based treatment, dedicated staff, and restorative therapeutic experiences, Horizon supports long-term recovery and lasting change.

We also provided an overview of two additional services that play a vital role in community wellness:
• Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) – delivering immediate support for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
• 24/7 Behavioral Health Urgent Care – ensuring accessible, around-the-clock behavioral health assistance.

We appreciate the opportunity to partner with Leadership Fort Smith and engage with emerging leaders who are committed to strengthening the well-being of our community.

Together, we can continue building a healthier, safer, and more resilient future for Western Arkansas.

🎄 Booneville Christmas Parade! 🎄

Our clients at Horizon Renewal Center had an amazing time decorating the Christmas tree in front of the Booneville Police Department! 🌟

It was such a fun way to kick off the holiday spirit and give back to the community. We’re so proud of the hard work and creativity they put into making the tree look festive!

Yesterday, members of our Horizon team attended the ARORP Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership Meeting in Benton, AR — an inspiring gathering focused on collaboration, innovation, and hope.

Thanks to the opioid settlement funding distributed through ARORP, Horizon Renewal Center has been able to strengthen services that are helping individuals, families, and entire communities across western Arkansas. These resources are making a real difference for cities and counties in the fight against opioid addiction and in building pathways to recovery.

As you gather around tables filled with love, laughter, and familiar faces, it’s important to remember that not everyone is fortunate enough to share that same experience. For some, this Thanksgiving Day can feel quiet, lonely, or heavy.

Tomorrow we challenge you to lead with compassion:
🧡 Reach out to a neighbor, coworker, or friend who may be spending the day alone
🪑 Consider filling an empty seat at your table
🍽️ Deliver a plate of food or a warm dessert to someone who could use it
