Bobby Wayne Watson, 88, of Booneville, Arkansas, left this earth for his Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. He was born November 28, 1937, in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Bob enjoyed a fulfilling retirement after serving with the Fort Smith Police Department, the Arkansas State Police, and the 188th Air Guard Unit. An avid amateur Ham Radio Operator, he proudly held the call sign “N5KFY”. Bob cherished his adventurous trips to Colorado with his beloved wife, Connie, thrilling four-wheeler rides with friends, and engaging conversations with his “Ham” buddies over the radio. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Eartha Watson; son, Bobby Scott Watson; brother, Dean Watson; and his loyal dog, Trouble.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Booneville with burial in Liberty Cemetery in Driggs, under the direction of Bulger Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Bulger Funeral Home.

Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Connie Watson of the home; daughters, Angie Holcomb (Chad) and Michelle Stanford, both of Booneville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kody Carter (Brittney), Katy Chambers (Ryan), Taylor Duvall (Jordan), Jake Warren, Lauren Ryan, Jeffrey Boyd, Alex Watson, and Brandy Watson; great grandchildren, Kamrey, Kory, Ava, Kipp, Lainey, Kross, and Carter; niece, Dee Anna Masterson of Lavaca, Arkansas; and other relatives and friends.

Donald Ray West, 74, of Magazine, Arkansas, passed away March 30, 2026, after a brief battle with lung cancer. He was born Sept. 16, 1951, in Conway, Arkansas, the son of Leon and Bertha Caroline Emberson West. He grew up and lived in Magazine, where he was elected and served on the Magazine City Council for multiple terms.

Donald ("Don") graduated from Magazine High School and the Arkansas Valley Vocational Technical School in Ozark, Arkansas, where he majored in electronics. He also graduated from the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville. Don worked for Kirkpatrick Scales Company of Booneville for many years as a calibration technician for industrial scales. He later worked in various capacities at Magazine Public Schools, from which he retired. Don was an active member of the Mt. Magazine Amateur Radio Club, enjoying communicating, along with his fellow club members, via Morse code with other amateur radio operators around the world using a temporary dipole antenna from atop Mount Magazine on an annual world-wide radio celebration day. In later years, he became interested in genealogy and became a genealogy detective searching for family history details.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents and by an infant brother, Terry Lynn. He is survived by his sister, Sharon "Shay" Turner, of Magazine, by his brother, Leon West Jr., of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and by many nephews and nieces.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Ellington Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

James Donald “Denny” Stone Sr., 69, of Magazine, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. He was born June 26, 1956, in Bradenton, Florida.

He was co-owner of Magtel and member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Additionally, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, served as a fire fighter and first responder in Magazine for 40 years, and held the title for former President of the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a former member of the Quorum Court, serving as Justice of the Peace, participated in the Magazine Homecoming Committee for 40 years, and was involved with the 4th of July committee.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Barbara Stone.

Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Booneville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Rosary will be Sunday at 6:00 pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.

Denny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cherri Stone of the home; sons, Tony Hamby of Magazine, Arkansas, James Stone (Cyndi) of Lavaca, Arkansas, and Bud Roberts (Annie) of Magazine, Arkansas; daughter, Terresa Kubitscheck (Ron) of Magazine, Arkansas; brothers, Victor Stone and Chris Stone, both of Magazine, Arkansas, and Shawn Stone of Branson, Missouri; sisters, Tammy Stone of Fayetteville, Arkansas, De Anna Mahon of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mary Gardener of Dover, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kayla, Zack, Ami, Kiana, Staysha, Steven, Ana, Zelda, and Cynthia; great grandchildren, Alayah, Maia, Oakland, Wyatt, Bennett, Raeleigh, Vaneeta, Bella, Gabe, Noah, Emmelee, Avah, Sarah, Gus, and L.K.; and other relatives and friends.

John Edward Andrews of Booneville passed away on March 31, 2026. He was born in Booneville, Arkansas, on August 19, 1942, to Edward A. Andrews and Foye Estelle (Maxwell) Andrews.
John retired from the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission as an equine inspector, a job he truly loved. He especially enjoyed being around horses and the people who shared that same passion. He was a lifetime member of the National Cutting Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. He was also a longtime member of the Booneville Quadrille, known as “The Wild Bunch.”
John was a 50+ year member of Blocher Lodge #247 and the Scottish Rite Bodies of Arkansas. He also served in the Arkansas National Guard. He had a lifelong love of horses and enjoyed competing in cutting horse competitions. In his younger years, he was an avid quail hunter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Sue Andrews and Janice Andrews Dalton.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanne Putman Andrews, of the home; one daughter, Melody Andrews Weidman (Barney Long) of Fort Smith; and one son, John Justin Andrews (Lesley Lippard Andrews) of Maumelle.
Grandchildren include Nick Weidman, Cody Davis, Max Weidman, Barrett Weidman, Beau Andrews, and Tag Andrews. Great-grandchildren include Jay, Wilder, and Kohen. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Andrews Robinson of Iowa.
Additional survivors include a sister-in-law, Janice Putman Mack (Dewayne Mack), and two brothers-in-law, Ronnie Putman and Dennis Putman. The family would also like to recognize his lifelong friend, Bill Smith, who was a faithful visitor during his time in the nursing home.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 2, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Parnell Farm House, 1432 S. State Hwy 23, Booneville, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be held for the family, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Jeremy Brian Hayward, 48, of Whitefield, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was born on September 23, 1977, in Booneville, Arkansas.

He was a member of the American Dairy Goat Association and worked at the White Field school as a custodian and bus driver. He loved his animals and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy and Betty Boggs, and his paternal grandparents, Jackson and Ruth Hayward.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Roberts Memorial Chapel, with burial at Taylor Cemetery in the Tate community, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. There will be no graveside service.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Roberts Memorial Chapel.

Ronald Arnold Cooney, 87, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was born January 18, 1939, in Los Angeles, California.

He served as a veteran in the United States Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Booneville, as well as the Gideons International. He was a cattle farmer and former electrician and enjoyed raising goats and Arabian horses.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Violet Cooney; sons, Patrick and Jonathan Cooney; and daughters, Ginger and Violet Cooney.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

David Allen Pigg, 73, died peacefully Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. Born Jan. 17, 1953, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he is preceded in death by Charlotte Pigg, his first wife and the mother of his daughter, Melissa.

He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Pigg; his daughter, Melissa Williams; his son-in-law, David Williams; two grandsons, Lane and Dalton Williams; and three great-grandchildren, Daisy, Wren and Viviane Williams.

David was also preceded in death by his parents, Lora and Ernest Pigg, and a sister, Carolyn Pigg. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and most recently attended Kimberling City Church of Christ.

After nearly 40 years of service with Whirlpool Corp., he enjoyed retirement through fishing, woodworking, gardening, traveling and visiting with friends and family. In the years following the passing of his first wife, he was blessed with love and renewed happiness when he met Mary while on a cruise with friends. For eight years, they embraced and nurtured their marriage and life together in Branson West, Missouri, which included retirement careers at Silver Dollar City, where David proudly operated Majestic River Falls.

David’s family invites you to attend a visitation and graveside service. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Roberts Funeral Home in Booneville, Arkansas, from 5 to 7 p.m., and a graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. Fellowship and a meal will follow at Heritage Addition Church of Christ.

Letha May Scott, 71, of Booneville, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She was born October 31, 1954, in Clinton, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Magazine and previously worked as a CNA at the Area Agency on Aging. She loved crocheting, camping, collecting Elvis memorabilia, but above all, she cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence McGarrah; mother, Julia Tillery; and infant son, Joseph Andrew Scott.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Sugar Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Bulger Funeral Home.
