Activity: This week we hosted our own Senior Olympic Games.

Residents participated in four fun events.
Bowling, Ring Toss, Corn hole and Ball Darts.
We shared lots of laughs and friendly competition and cheered each other on.

Bowling: Kathleen took Gold, Gertrude took Silver, and Becky took Bronze.

Ring Toss: Becky took Gold, Ada took Silver, and Becky took Bronze.

Corn hole: Wayne took Gold, Betty took Silver and Orville took Bronze.

Ball Darts: Wayne took Gold, Betty took Silver, and Ada took Bronze.

Activity: This month Becky was selected for resident of the month!
Story: Becky raised 6 children and worked as a nurses aid for several years. The family always looked forward to family vacations during the summers in North Carolina. Becky enjoys playing pitch, greedy and socializing with others. Becky also enjoys being outside.

Healthcare Food Service Workers Week.

We want to give our food service team a shout out! The Food Service team members are Dena, the Dietary Manager and 3 CNA's,
Anna, Alex and Jessica that help fill in as needed.

Residents enjoy the homemade deserts for their birthdays, and their favorite meals are meatloaf, roast beef, and Fried Chicken.

Activity: Our resident, Orville, was our Vocational Speaker today.

Story: Recently, Orville shared that he use to make candles as a hobby and stated that he would be interested in showing others how to make candles.

To honor that request, we set up a demo where Orville described in detail how to make candle and the different kinds of wax and which wax's were better for a particular candle.

Let's give it up for Orville and his amazing leadership ship.

Looking for 6" Horses and miniature horses also. Planning for a Kentucky Durby party with residents. If your cleaning out your kids toys and looking for a place to donate these items, they would be greatly appreciated.
