THANKFULNESS takes the sting out of adversity.
That is why I have instructed you to give thanks for everything. There is an element of mystery in this transaction: You give Me thanks (regardless of your feelings), and I give you Joy (regardless of your cir-cumstances). This is a spiritual act of obedience—at times, blind obedience. To people who don’t know Me intimately, it can seem irrational and even impossible to thank Me for heartrending hardships.
Nonetheless, those who obey Me in this way are invariably blessed, even though difficulties may remain.
Thankfulness opens your heart to My Presence and your mind to My thoughts. You may still be in the same place, with the same set of circumstances, but it is as if a light has been switched on, enabling you to see from My perspective. It is this Light of My Presence that removes the sting from adversity.

✨God hears even the small things.

I told a friend earlier that seeing the Northern Lights was on my bucket list…
and that SAME NIGHT they appeared right over my house. 💫
The Northern Lights appeared.
Not in Alaska.
Not in Iceland.
Not on some expensive trip.

“He gives you the desires of your heart.” — Psalm 37:4

Speak your desires out loud.
Tell God what’s on your heart even the small things.
He delights in delighting you.

Stay expectant.
Stay open.
Stay looking up literally.

Growing Old With the One God Chose For Me ❤️

I snapped this picture while standing behind my hubby the man I’ve loved for 25 years.
He didn’t know I was taking it.
He was simply watching the sunset, sitting on top of the Jeep looking at the sunset glowing gold in front of him.

But as I stood there… All I could say
“Thank You, God.”

Not just for the view.
Not just for Hawaii.
But for him.💕

The orange, yellow, and blue of the sky painted a masterpiece but the real beauty was the peace I felt in my spirit. That moment reminded me of something powerful:

When we ask God for love, He doesn’t just give us a person…
He gives us a partner.
A protector.
A best friend.
A teammate through every season.

Sometimes when life tries to push us out or shut us up, God uses it to ignite something even stronger within us. 🔥
I wrote this quote because I’ve lived it what the enemy meant for harm, God turned into fuel for my fire.

No matter what denomination or background we come from, we are the church when we stand together in love, forgiveness, and truth. 💒
