Are you running around crazy this holiday week? We have just the thing for you. No, we can't do your stuff for you, but we can offer you a few moments of respite -of deep breathing, of reflection, introspection, and mindful movement which can set you up for the rest of your day. And maybe, just maybe, your holidays will be a little less crazy. ;-)

This gentle reminder from a most gentle man, Vietnamese monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh, is as much for me as it is for anyone else who may need to heed his advice.

In this hurried life with endless to-do lists, we can sometimes lose sight of what's really important: stopping, observing, breathing intentionally, relaxing the body, and smiling. Because even when things aren't going well for us, we always have the option to shift gears, to slow down, and take in the world around us with curiosity and kindness. In doing so, we allow ourselves the opportunity to revel in the wonder that is life, and go deeper, far beyond the mundane challenges and to-do lists.

This holiday season, take some time for yourself. Smile, breathe, and go slowly. That's what I'm doing.
