Meet Tammy Koch, Accounts Receivable Representative at Emplify Health by Gundersen Boscobel! 💙
Behind every bill, claim, and insurance question is someone working hard to help patients navigate a complicated process — and Tammy is one of those people. As an Accounts Receivable Representative, she reviews claims, follows up on unpaid balances, corrects errors, and works with insurance companies to keep claims moving forward. Her attention to detail helps ensure accounts are accurate and patients receive the support they need.
Tammy describes herself as a buffer between patients and the ever-changing world of insurance. She knows healthcare billing can be confusing and stressful, so she does her best to fight denials, solve problems, and answer questions whenever she can. Her behind-the-scenes work helps lessen the burden of medical bills for patients and families while keeping the process moving as smoothly as possible.
Tammy brings both experience and heart to her role, she says one of the best things about working here is the people — not just within her own department, but across the entire organization. Outside of work, Tammy enjoys spending time with family, gardening flowers and vegetables, going to auctions and flea markets, and tackling creative projects. Lately, she’s been trying her hand at alcohol markers and glass chip art. She also enjoys unwinding with a good true crime podcast or documentary. 🌷🎨
Her go-to comfort food? Homemade soups or casseroles — and when chocolate is calling, she listens. 🍫
