Meet Melisa Cornell, Scheduling Specialist at Emplify Health by Gundersen! 💙
If you’ve ever called to make an appointment, asked a question or needed help navigating your care, chances are you’ve talked to Melisa — one of the friendly voices who helps keep our hospital running smoothly.
A typical day for Melisa is filled with assisting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, working through multiple inboxes, managing messages from both patients and providers and more! She’s often the very first person someone talks to when they reach out for care, and she loves being able to help people feel supported and heard from the very beginning.
Melisa has lived in Boscobel her entire life, after attending Southwest Tech she joined our team and has been here ever since! One of her favorite parts of working here? The people. She loves working with her coworkers — many of whom she calls friends — and says the positive, team-centered environment makes every day enjoyable. Her coworkers would describe her as caring, and she proves that daily in the way she goes above and beyond for patients and staff.
Outside of work, Melisa enjoys camping, biking, kayaking, sewing and reading. She also has a sweet tooth, anything sweet is her go-to comfort treat! 🍬 Fun fact: She’s a twin!
For Melisa, being part of this hospital team means supporting a community she truly believes in. She is proud to work in an environment filled with wonderful providers and staff who lift each other up, treat patients with respect and kindness and work together across departments to make sure every patient feels cared for.
