At my desk at work thinking of a 2-year-old who will grow up without their mother after she was shot and killed late night.
IMPD tells us the mother was shot at 11:54 p.m. in her home in the 700 block of Turtle Creek North Drive on the south side of Indianapolis.
She was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the toddler was not physically harmed.
Two people who police describe as "persons of interest" were detained.
I have no other details on a motive and the mother's name will be released later by the coroner.
