Yvette came to Saint Joseph Rehab from Mass General Hospital following a hospitalization due to increased falls and overall functional decline. As part of her comprehensive rehab plan, she attended dialysis four days a week in our on-site dialysis den—allowing her to fully participate in therapy 5–7 days a week.

Through Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, Yvette worked hard to rebuild strength, balance, endurance, daily living skills, and cognitive function. After dialysis, she even joined our boxing group, helping improve coordination and overall strength.

With her determination—and the support of her therapy team—Yvette made excellent progress. Congratulations to Yvette on her incredible comeback!

Richie came to Saint Joseph Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a shoulder arthroplasty, requiring a sling and assistance with nearly all activities of daily living, including walking. Determined to regain his strength, he attended therapy every day, ready to work.

Through Physical and Occupational Therapy, Richie focused on improving mobility, range of motion, and independence. He used the OmniCycle® to build endurance and strength and received e-stimulation therapy to support shoulder recovery.

With each session, his balance, strength, and mobility steadily improved. By discharge, Richie was walking independently with a cane, had removed his sling, and was safely completing daily tasks on his own. We’re proud to have supported Richie on his journey back to confidence and independence.

By discharge, she was walking independently with her walker and completing all ADLs on her own. Grateful for her care, Marcia shared: “Thank you for helping me get back on my feet again. I am grateful.”

Marcia’s journey highlights the power of our Graceful Motion program in helping individuals with Parkinson’s regain confidence and independence.

Meet George! 👋💙

George joined us at St. Joseph’s following CABG heart surgery. He also received dialysis and attended our in-house dialysis den four days a week throughout his stay.

During rehab, George worked hard in therapy every day to rebuild his strength and improve his mobility. He even took on more advanced balance activities using our Omni VR system to help reduce his risk of falls.

Thanks to his dedication and determination, George made amazing progress. By the time he discharged, he was walking independently, cooking, and completing his ADLs safely—ready to return home with confidence.

George shared, “I really like the 4 days a week dialysis, and I enjoyed therapy very much.”

George was truly a pleasure to work with, and we’ll miss him! 💙
