✨🎉 One-Year Kidneyversary! 🎉✨

It has been one year since my kidney transplant, and I’m celebrating a full year of renewed health, deeper gratitude, and owning the fanciest “gently used” organ around.

First and foremost: Joan. 💚
Thank you for giving me the greatest gift imaginable—your kidney—and trusting me not to void the warranty. Your courage, generosity, and selflessness continue to amaze me. Because of you, I wake up each day with more energy, more hope, and a future I once wasn’t sure I’d have. You’re a hero/angel on earth… and apparently a very reliable parts supplier.

To my family, friends, and medical team: thank you for lifting me up, cheering me on, and being part of this journey. I really felt the love and encouragement from all of you—whether it was through prayers, check-ins, or just sending good vibes my way. Those prayers meant the world, and I truly felt them during the tough moments. 🙏 You all helped me more than you know!

I’m so grateful for all the love, support, and laughter this past year. Here’s to health, healing, and the incredible power of organ donation—and to many more years with my deluxe, top-shelf, Joan-issued kidney. 🥂💚

💚A Heartfelt Moment: Meeting Our Anonymous Living Kidney Donor, Joan💚☘

Words cannot fully express the overwhelming gratitude and emotion we feel today. We were blessed with the incredible privilege of meeting Joan, the extraordinary woman who gave us the gift of life by donating her kidney anonymously.

For months, we knew her only through her selfless act of kindness, and today we finally had the chance to meet her in person and express our thanks. Joan, you are the true definition of an unsung hero. Your courage, compassion, and generosity are beyond words. We will forever be in awe of your incredible gift.

This journey has been filled with hope, faith, and moments of vulnerability, but today, we were reminded that there is still so much good in the world. What’s even more remarkable is that donors like Joan, who don’t know their recipient, can give life and hope in the most selfless way. These donations work, and the impact is life-changing. It proves that connection, love, and healing can transcend even the unknown.

Today, I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I share this incredible news -- I have received a kidney transplant after 5 years of waiting. Words cannot fully express the joy and relief this moment brings.
To everyone who supported me along this journey, whether by sharing my story, offering words of encouragement, helping me connect with a living donor, or stepping up and coming forward to be evaluated, thank you from the depths of my heart.
To my Donor, whose selfless act of kindness has given me a second chance at life, I will forever be grateful for your generosity and courage. You are a true hero.
This experience has shown me the power of community, compassion, and hope. To those still waiting for their match, don't give up-- miracles do happen, and you are not alone.
