Meet our Monthly Signature Programming Calendar! These events happen every month, and are primarily FREE*. We spent last year experimenting with all kinds of entertainment and activations, and we’ve landed on this set of events for a few reasons:

1) This calendar represents a wide variety of interests, neighbors, and creative possibilities in this space.

2) Each one of these activations may look familiar, but trust us…they’ve all got a unique twist that Substation-ifies them! (Trivia is not just trivia, Karaoke has a new “resident rock star,” our musicians don’t just gig - they engage and explore.)

3) We LOVE our partners! We take great care in building partnerships with awesome folks, with creative souls, who are aligned with our vision of community building. They bring their art/craft/talent/spirit AND a serious vibe.

Our bar maintains regular hours, even when not “programmed,” so you can experience our warm vibe and delicious, local drink menu every weekend! We also continue to sprinkle in lots of other events and entertainment, so follow us and check in on our website events calendar for the full list of events.

Today is the national strike, and we want to say clearly: we stand in solidarity.

As a small business - and a vital third space - we aren’t able to close. Fridays are essential for us, both financially and communally. We will always be a gathering place that is safe, accessible, welcoming, and rooted in care. Fridays in particular are a time when families gather, kids make friends, and neighbors build relationships beyond home and work. Keeping our doors open is one of the ways we show up for our community, especially in hard moments.

How we’re participating today:
We always center local, independent, and underrepresented producers, but today we’re taking that commitment a step further. Our menu features ONLY those partners — no large corporations, no national distributors. Every dollar spent with us today stays in our local economy and supports real people in our extended community.

We’re also introducing a new cocktail, the ICE Melt — a call to get ICE out of our communities and a way to materially support those most impacted. A portion of proceeds from every ICE Melt sold today will be donated to RISE (Roslindale Is For Everyone) to support local immigrant families.

Solidarity can look like many things. Sometimes it’s protest. Sometimes it’s redistribution of resources, intentional choices, and holding space for one another. We’re grateful to be in this with you. Thank you for being here.

We keep it FUN-ky in the deep freeze! Come thaw out with friends, neighbors, meet-up groups. Lots happening for you to CONNECT, PLAY, and MOVE this weekend!

🍻 1/29: The bar is open for adults only hours every Thursday from 5-11pm!

🎮 1/30: .lan hosts their monthly retro game night! Family hours from 4-7 PM, adults-only and additional tabletop and role playing games from 7-11 PM

Wondering what to do with the 14th pair of socks you received this holiday? Or the box of chocolates you don’t want hanging around until January? What about the candle that was oh-so-thoughtful, but you can’t stand the smell? Bring it to our POST-HOLIDAY GIFT SWAP!

Our bar is open for our regular hours tomorrow (family hours, 4-7pm, adults only, 7pm on) and we’re welcoming you to bring any new gifts you received that you just may not want. There’s likely someone in the neighborhood who will be excited to take it home!

🎷 12/5: Get ready to boogie to the Nouveau Hot Jazz Orchestra - a 9-piece swinging jazz band, starting at 8pm. will also lead a fun swing class at 7pm for anyone who feels moved to move!

We’re open for your post-Thanksgiving hangs! Friday 11/28, swing through for monthly stand up show on the lower level at 8PM or for the 21+ Wicked Fan Experience on the main level from 6-10PM!

Then, celebrate and the annual tree lighting on 11/29 with a pub carol sing-a-long from 4-7PM and holiday BINGO with at 7PM.

We are so thankful for YOU! As a business that opened during COVID and has been continually expanding operations year after year, reaching out 5-year mark was no easy feat. We wouldn’t be here without the support of our friends, neighbors, and broader Boston community. THANK YOU.

Celebrating our 5-year anniversary earlier this month was truly special. As put it, it was “the most Roslindale thing to have ever Roslindale’d.”

We had a community talent show (thanks to judges Courtney Pong, Sophia Herscu, and Glenn Williams!) circus performances from and , ( and pictured here) and a full set from Thaddeus Hogarth Collective. Host Ticco Robinson was even accompanied by on the keys for a special rendition of “Won’t You Be My Neighbor.” We had so much fun celebrating with you!
