Reminder: we have FREE Covid rapid tests and respirator masks for everyone. You do not have to get acupuncture here to help yourself! Walk in anytime during our community acupuncture hours and grab yours.

In 2025, we're still open:

During an acupuncture treatment, we often add points on the outer ear, also known as the "auricle." Supporting health by stimulating points on the outer ear is also called "auriculotherapy."

Why the ear? There's a point for every part of the body, just in the ear! Auricular points include inner organs and different parts of the brain.

There are also "functional" points, such as points for insomnia, high blood pressure, and appetite.

You can use press balls or ear seeds on these points at home. Ask us about our DIY Ear Seeds Kits!

Founded by neighbors already working to confront health inequities, we opened Boston Acupuncture Project (BAP) in a historic Hyde Park storefront in 2018. BAP is currently the City of Boston’s only dedicated community acupuncture clinic, and the Commonwealth’s only nonprofit community acupuncture clinic.

Acupuncture is a low-risk, evidence supported treatment for physical pain and mental health. Community acupuncture is offered in a group setting. Benefits of sharing treatment space include lower prices, the ability for friends and family to be treated together (often less intimidating for first-timers), and an atmosphere of infectious relaxation.

Ever catch someone else’s yawn? That’s what group treatment is like. The collective energy in the treatment room can make individual treatments more powerful.

For seven years, we've offered sliding scale community acupuncture. We now have a Pay It Forward Fund for those who can’t afford our regular sliding scale of $30-$60.

Our acupuncturists have provided over 9,500 treatments, including more than 400 free sessions.

BAP is ready to strengthen its infrastructure and expand capacity to deliver accessible, community-rooted healthcare.

Next Friday, November 14th, combine self-care and community care at our acupuncture fundraiser for the Hyde Park Food Pantry. Net proceeds from this special event benefit our local pantry. Sign up to save your spot using the online form, or try walking in from 4-6 PM. Suggested donation is $40-$100. You can also give directly to the Hyde Park Food Pantry via Venmo. Please spread the word and bring a friend!
