We had a wonderful time celebrating the caregivers who keep Massachusetts residents safe, supported, and living in the settings of their choice.

Congratulations to Mass Aging Access on receiving the Ally Award, and cheers to all of today’s individual award recipients. It was also great to reconnect with Rep. Tom Stanley, Rep. Carmine Gentile for State Representative, 13th Middlesex District, and so many Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts members and friends.

Thank you to Julie Watt Faqir and the Home Care Aide Council for hosting such a meaningful event.

November: Exit Planning for Agency Owners — strategies to prepare your business for a successful transition.
Every agency owner will eventually face a transition — the question is whether it happens by design or by default. Running a home care agency without an exit plan is like setting sail without a map — you may be moving forward, but not necessarily toward your desired destination. This Lunch & Learn will show you how an exit plan provides direction, helps you maximize the value of your agency, and ensures a smooth and successful transition when it’s time to move on or sell.

December: AI & Revenue Tracking — leveraging technology to streamline operations and boost margins.
2026 sessions will be announced soon!

On behalf of the more than 135,000 individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease in Massachusetts and their 213,000 family caregivers, the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter extends our sincere gratitude to the Massachusetts House of Representatives for passing H.4706, An Act to Improve Home Care yesterday! 👏💜

We are grateful to Speaker Mariano, State Representative Aaron Michlewitz, and Chairman Tom Stanley for their leadership in advancing legislation that strengthens access to high-quality, dementia-informed, and safe care at home. We also thank our incredible partners — the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, Home Care Aide Council, and Mass Aging Access — for their shared commitment to improving the quality of home care across the Commonwealth.

A special thank you to Chairman Stanley for bringing attention to individuals living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers during his remarks on the House floor, and for sharing the powerful story of our Board member and advocate, Doug Hano, and his wife, Kirsten Hano. Your words help bring visibility, compassion, and urgency to this cause that touches so many Massachusetts families.

Together, we’re building a Commonwealth that leads with compassion and care for all those impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. 💜
