CPR Classes: www.nuems.org/CPR Northeastern University Emergency Medical Services (NUEMS) is a volunteer-based, student-run organization that currently provides EMS coverage to Northeastern events. We are dedicated to providing leadership, experiential and educational opportunities to our members including continuing medical education classes. We are also committed to members of the community through our dedication to community outreach and education. We currently offer CPR classes and continuing education to the community. We are also proud to have the responsibility of managing the campus AED program. Additionally, we provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care, through highly trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), at school-sponsored events and functions. NUEMS hopes to serve the Northeastern University community in the future by providing excellent, prompt, and professional responses to all medical emergencies and ensuring a safer and healthier campus to live and learn.

In February, NUEMS traveled to the National Collegiate EMS conference! Here, we attended multiple training sessions and hands on lectures, got certified to instruct StopTheBleed courses, and were awarded the Bronze Tier and Heart Safe Campus certifications! A great opportunity to expand our EMS knowledge/skill set and meet other collegiate EMS providers!

This Thursday, we have a special guest speaker joining us to talk about OB/GYN emergencies! Join us at 7pm in WVG to learn from Dr. Travias, MD, a practicing OB/GYN physician at Emerson Health. We are excited to see you there!
