Boston Brain Bee All questions come from the Brain Facts book. Simply read, answer questions and win.

The bee is a question-and-answer competition for high school students on brain topics, such as neurological disease, development, learning and memory and much more! Monetary Prizes will be awarded to Boston's 'Best Brains.'
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100

In addition, the Boston Regional champion will be sent to the National Brain Bee to compete with other local winners during Brain Awareness Week in Washington, DC (March 18-20, 2017). The Boston regional brain bee is brought to you from members of the Boston Area Neuroscience Group (BANG), a local chapter of the National Society for Neuroscience. BANG member institutions include Brandeis, Boston University, Harvard, MIT, Northeastern, Tufts and UMass-Medical.

Congratulations to Brittany P. from Dracut Senior High School who put forward a stellar performance at Saturday's Boston Brain Bee and claimed the championship title! Habiba N. (Al-Noor Academy) and Paul K. (St. Sebastian's School), our 2nd and 3rd place winners, provided fierce competition. Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and MIT's Picower Institute for hosting the event!

We can't wait to see everyone for the Boston Regional Brain Bee tomorrow!

Just a reminder, the paper test will begin at 11:15am. All participating students must take the paper test, and the top ten scorers will move on to the live competition which will begin at 2:30pm (after the career panel luncheon and the keynote address). You may arrive anytime between 10:15am and 11:15am to check-in.

We're excited to announce that this year each pre-registered student that participates in the bee will receive a ticket for free admission to the MIT museum. The MIT museum generously donated the tickets to support the bee and encourage further scientific exploration!

The date and location of the 2014 Boston Regional Brain Bee is officially confirmed. MIT has once again graciously agreed to host our event at the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory. A big thank you to the folks at the institute for supporting our mission. The 2014 BRBB will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2014. So mark your calendars and start preparing!
