Breaks lasting 10 minutes or less can increase energy and reduce fatigue for workers in some types of jobs but show minimal results for others.

We often use anti microbial herbs along with low histamine diet in my practice to help with IBS

New (entirely unsurprising) finding that dysbiosis and HISTAMINE play a role in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Specifically, the new research found that at least 1 in 4 people with IBS have an overgrowth of the gram negative bacteria Klebsiella aerogenes, which the researchers call a "super-producer of histamine."

Future IBS treatments could "target mast cells and histamine," including mast cell stabilizers or antihistamines. In the meantime, natural approaches include correcting dysbiosis with diet changes, pre- and probiotics, as well as herbal and nutritional antimicrobials and mast-cell stabilizers.

Menorrhagia, or heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding can be concerning and disruptive to those who experience it. Not only do you deal with the bleeding, but the anemia, fatigue and symptoms that come with it.

There are few common causes that we will go over, but step one is to always get checked out by your gynecologist or doctor first to rule out anything more serious. Often they will do an exam or recommend some imaging/ultrasound to determine the cause. Once we know what's going on, we can use holistic approaches to help.

Common Causes include fibroids, polyps, endometriosis and hormone imbalances. Sometimes, IUD's or medications like anti-coagulants can cause heavier periods.

Depending on the size of the fibroids or polyps, sometimes surgery may be necessary. In many instances, fibroids can be watched for changes in size. That's where holistic medicine comes in. There are things we can do through diet and supplements/herbs to help shrink the fibroid.

For endometriosis, in many cases, we are able to minimize or lessen the symptoms and discomfort using holistic approaches, balancing hormone and regulating the immune system.

Step one, get checked, if it's nothing too concerning, and your doctor is willing to watch and wait, contact us to help!

We see all of these reasons and more in our practice. Step one is figuring out what the underlying imbalances are that are contributing to the symptoms and the fertility challenges. From there, we are able to help re-balance the body and mind to improve hormones, the cycle and promote fertility. Link in Bio for free consult.

While nervous system dysregulation, And psychological/emotional stressors can cause anxiety or trigger panic attacks, there are some other physical reasons that someone might feel anxious or panicky.

1. Blood Sugar Imbalance: drops in blood sugar physical symptoms that mimic anxiety – Shakiness, feeling faint, lightheaded, brain fog, and increased heart rate. When blood sugar drops, your cortisol goes up to raise it and sensitive systems can interpret that as anxiety. Eating regular balanced meals is key to balancing anxiety.
2. Mineral Imbalance: Deficiencies or excess of certain minerals can lower stress tolerance, increase muscles tension, and possibly contribute to physical sensations of anxiety. Eg. Magnesium is a common one
3. Toxins: for sensitive individuals, exposure to things like paints, fumes, perfumes, etc can trigger headaches, brain fog and possibly trigger anxiety
4. Histamine: for some, high histamine foods and excess histamine from allergies can create symptoms similar to anxiety or panic
5. Hormone Triggers: Imbalances in hormones can trigger anxiety (eg. Many women find that their anxiety gets worse the week before their period. Low progesterone levels can contribute to this).

The good news is, when we work together, our Wellness Programs look at all of these potential triggers and help you re-balance to reduce anxiety and panic.
