Shriners Children's Boston is recognizing our staff during Child Life Month, which is celebrated every March.

Meet Rebecca! 👋 Her favorite part about child life is, “Being able to work with patients in all areas of the hospital. It’s heartwarming to see the milestones patients can reach, whether they’re walking for the first time, ringing the bell when they are discharged or graduating from treatment.”

Rebecca also leads Team Brave, a community reintegration program unique to Shriners Children’s Boston, which is funded by the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation.

The nursing staff at Shriners Children's Boston is grateful to 2025 Potentate Evan McIntosh and First Lady Amanda, along with the incredible community at Bektash Shriners of New Hampshire for their generous First Lady’s Project donation of $12,321.

Shriners Children's Boston is reminding families to “spring forward” this weekend! As we adjust our clocks ⏰ for daylight saving time, it’s also the perfect time to check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

➡️ Test your alarms and replace batteries if needed
➡️ Check the expiration dates – smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years
➡️ Have an escape plan – practice fire drills with your family

A simple safety check today could save lives tomorrow!

Meet Miles! 👋 He is a craniofacial patient at Shriners Children's Boston, where he’s receiving compassionate, wraparound care.

His family is especially grateful for his doctor, Kavitha L. Ranganathan, M.D., a plastic surgeon and co-director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Center. They describe her as “kind, compassionate, and detail-oriented.”
