Cześć! Mikolaj (Mickey) traveled from Poland to Boston Children’s Hospital after he was diagnosed with congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (CC-TGA) and a small ventricular septal defect (VSD). Using advanced pressure-volume (PV) loop analytics, his Heart Center team was able to measure his heart’s workload and determine the right timing for biventricular repair. Now almost six years old, Mickey is thriving — active in school, sports, and loving his life as a big brother! Learn more about his story in the link below http://ms.spr.ly/6180QjHP2

Happy from Nina, a 16-year-old competitive gymnast who received care at Boston Children’s for supraventricular tachycardia . She now wants to help others who have an arrhythmia. Her advice:
❤️ Be an active participant in your care; talk often with your caregivers
❤️ Learn the severity of your arrhythmia and its triggers and calming methods
❤️ Don’t ignore your body’s signs of an arrhythmic episode
❤️ Talk with coaches, peers, and teachers about your arrhythmia and updates in care
❤️ Describe how you’ll handle an episode and explain how they can help
❤️ Ensure that adults around you are trained in CPR

Thank you, Nina!
