Meet one of our blood drive sponsors, Samantha B., who donated her left kidney to Kim M. in June 2024❤️

“A friend of mine reached out in March 2024, she works as an ER nurse and saw a plea on Facebook for an old coworker. She asked if I would consider being tested to see if I was a match. At the time, I had already signed up for multiple postings, so I figured, what’s one more? I ended up being a match, and all in all, it was the best decision I’ve ever made!”

“I’ve pledged, as part of my purpose, to find different ways to help and better others, starting with donating to an absolute stranger who is now a friend. Three of my closest childhood friends have all been impacted by cancer, and their loved ones received treatment at Dana-Farber. My own mother was treated there for squamous cell carcinoma and had to have her inner cheek reconstructed. So, this year, I decided it was time to give back and organize a blood drive.”
