Hi everyone!! Steve here. It has been a while! I finally got cleared to go back to work and I wanted to thank you for your support. It has been a wild recovery period and I’m still not out of the woods yet, but well on my way! Hi everyone it’s Nikki. Thank you all for the kind words, love, and support this last week and last few years. We appreciate you all so much. 🥰
Normally, I wouldn’t post a GoFundMe that has my picture on it, but Summer very graciously made this on Steve ’s behalf after hearing about his financial situation. He’s about 20k in the hole with medical bills in result of the kidney failure and the transplant.
We know times are hard and we feel weird asking for help. It’s not in either one of our natures, but sometimes you just have to suck up your pride and ask. Please do not feel obligated and if you can’t donate, no biggie at all! We don’t expect anything out of anyone.
We would be grateful if you wouldn’t mind sharing this for us. We’re hoping this will help bring his debt down a little bit so we can eventually concentrate on buying a home of our own for Liam.

Today is the day we’ve been anxiously awaiting for years! Steve is current in prep for his kidney transplant. Please keep him, his donor, his donor’s recipient, and the person Steve is getting a kidney from in your thoughts and send positive healing vibes.
Steve’s donor is O- which is the universal blood type. They’re giving their kidney to another person, but on Steve’s behalf. Steve is getting the other recipient’s donor’s A+ kidney because it’s a better match for him. Talk about a win win with 2 families’ loved ones getting a kidney today!!

This has been an extremely long, tiring, & emotional ride, but it’s all worth it. Thank you to everyone for your support. Thank you for sharing our posts, putting signs on your cars, sending us love and well wishes, filling out the questionnaire and always having faith for our family. We couldn’t have done this without all of you. I know how much it means to Steve having you all care so much about him. You’ve restored our faith in humanity.

We’re excited to close this book and start a brand new one as our family of 3 + a new kidney. It’s amazing to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you all for helping us get there. ❤️

Guys!! We did it !! We found Steve a kidney !!! 🥳😭👏🏼 Steve will have his transplant surgery June 13th!!

It has been a veryyyyy long almost 5 years. We’re still in disbelief, but holey moley, we are excited!! We couldn’t do it without all of the love and support from each and everyone of you. If everyone could keep Steve in their prayers, send positive vibes, or whatever higher being you believe in for a safe surgery and fast & smooth recovery!

We don’t have anymore details except for the date. We’ll be working out the details with his kidney coordinator in the next couple weeks as we get closer. We really really really hope the donor will tell us who they are post donation. 🤞🏼
