Meet Scott Anthony, who is proudly running the 2026 Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America with Team BILH in support of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). Advancing health care is deeply important to Scott in light of his family’s history. He and his loved ones have been profoundly affected by cancer, with his mother passing away from the disease in 2015, and his two brothers—Michael and Peter—experiencing their own diagnoses. Additionally, his father lives with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.

After the tragic loss of his brother Michael, Scott vowed to honor him and his family by completing a half-marathon in 2025 and a full marathon in 2026. Running for Team BILH allows Scott to pay tribute to his loved ones, while supporting BIDMC’s efforts to provide exceptional, compassionate care for all patients.

Sarah Toole and Alex Guarnotta are proud to run the 2026 Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America as part of Team BILH. They are running to support Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in honor of their fathers. Sarah witnessed the care and compassion of BIDMC’s staff firsthand after her dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 liver cancer in 2023. He sadly passed away later that year, and running the marathon is Sarah’s way of paying tribute to him and helping other families like hers.

Sarah’s boyfriend, Alex, will be running alongside her in memory of his own dad, who also received treatment at BIDMC and passed away when Alex was just 10 years old. For Sarah and Alex, the Boston Marathon is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate their fathers’ lives, while raising awareness and support for the hospital that provided their families with compassion and care when they needed it most.
