💙Team BIDMC Shines at the 2025 AHA Boston Heart Walk! 💙

BIDMC had a strong showing at this year’s American Heart Association Boston Heart Walk, celebrating our fifth straight win in the Industry Cup Hospital Challenge! The CABG Patch Kids, led by Dr. Louis Chu, were our top fundraisers, and Dr. Lars Stangenberg chaired Team BIDMC.

Among our walkers was Joe, who joined nearly four years after undergoing valve-sparing aortic surgery at the BIDMC Aortic Center. The aorta—the body’s largest artery—can form a dangerous aneurysm when weakened.

“It was a relief to take care of this health issue, and I’m grateful to the BIDMC team who guided me through it,” Joe said. “Dr. Khabbaz was a miracle maker—he spared, not replaced, my heart valve.”

Now healthy and thriving, Joe and his family walked alongside Drs. Brett Carroll and Kamal Khabbaz, celebrating heart health and hope. ❤️

The BIDMC Infusion Center at Mount Auburn Hospital has moved to a newly renovated space! This relocation reflects the ongoing collaboration between Mount Auburn Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center to expand access to high-quality, seamless care for our patients.

Still conveniently located at 330 Mount Auburn Street, the BIDMC Infusion Center is now on the fourth floor of the Wyman Building, just one floor above its previous location. We look forward to welcoming patients to our new space!

BIDMC and Beth Israel Lahey Health were proud to join Roxbury Community College in celebrating its 30th Anniversary, with the 2nd annual Health, Wellness & Healing Forum!

Held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center, the event brought together more than 250 community members, health professionals, and advocates for a day focused on physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing.

BILH Chief DEI Officer Juan Fernando Lopera joined fellow panelists for “Unlocking Community Health Treasures: Mapping Our Collective Strength,” a discussion on advancing health equity.

BIDMC/BILH hosted two tables along Wellness Row, sharing health resources and connecting with residents as part of a shared commitment to improving community health. 💙
