Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

This patient took our advice and took great care of their nasal passages! 👃

Winter heating can dry out indoor air, making it harder to breathe gently through your nose. ❄️

When nasal breathing is difficult, we tend to breathe through our mouths—which can strain your jaw, face, and head, potentially worsening headaches. 🤕

Simple solutions like using a humidifier to keep your room at 40–60% humidity, hydrating nasal sprays, or even nasal strips can help support gentle nasal breathing—and in turn, a headache-free head!

Your jaw is supported by way more muscles than the ones we usually think about.

Most people only think of the masseter and temporalis — but your jaw relies on an entire team of deeper and smaller muscles, including:

lateral pterygoid, medial pterygoid, digastrics, suprahyoids, infrahyoids, buccinator, orbicularis oris, genioglossus and more.

Jaw pain giving you haunted-house energy?

Tight muscles can turn everyday moments into jump scares. No need to live in a horror movie.

Here are a few little tricks that feel like treats for your jaw this Halloween:

🕸️ Humming
A quick way to cue your nervous system into relaxation and soften overactive jaw muscles.

💨 Gentle cheek puffing
Close your lips, lightly puff your cheeks, and hold for a few seconds. It gives your jaw a moment to chill.

💆 Body hack for calm
Unclench your teeth, let your tongue rest on the floor of your mouth, and lower your shoulders. Your neck and jaw love this.

Tiny changes can create surprisingly big relief. The goal is less tension, more comfort, and definitely fewer jump scares when you yawn.
