How curious would you say your team is? What about you? 💡
Cultivating an environment that celebrates and rewards creativity can make a tremendous impact—in the workplace, and in your personal life. ✨

You are your own living, breathing experiment.
It’s all data. Get curious, and use it. ✨

Our brain needs regular resets throughout the day.
Consider these breaks your necessary recovery, much like the physical breaks in between sets while working out. ✨

The roadblocks you incur when you create the opposite environment—people don't feel like their opinions matter and they do not have the support they need to do their job—can often seem insurmountable.
You'll be amazed by how the tables turn once people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.

It's all fleeting. Love it loosely. ✨

There’s so much good that can come from this world of connectedness that we have created in the virtual realm. There is no denying that. ✨
But there is also a seedy underbelly that has contributed to a global atrophy of our ability to sit in our intimate emotions long enough to really listen to what the deeper meaning and lessons are that lie just beneath the surface.
Tucked just under consciousness is a world where deeper ties, connections, and layers of feeling reside. But to access it, we must thread that needle of pause between stimulus and response. We must exercise the muscle of restraint over our impulse to act immediately. We must observe the intentions behind our actions and wonder, "What do I hope to achieve by doing this? Would I say this to his/her face? Will it hurt someone? Will I regret this tomorrow?" 💡

Hello, I’m Dr. Sarah Sarkis and it’s nice to meet you.
I am a licensed psychologist, writer, and performance consultant living in Honolulu, Hawaii. Originally hailing from Boston Mass, I have a private practice where I work with adults who are looking to achieve long-term change and growth. I also work with executives, organizations, and small groups doing performance consulting.
You can visit my website to learn more about my services and about the distinction between traditional therapy and performance consulting.
My style is eclectic and blends psychoanalytic theory, positive psychology, existential psychology, neuro-biology, and functional medicine to bring a truly integrated approach to your quest for a sense of wellness. I emphasize collaboration, partnership, and personal empowerment.
You can also contact me via email, though please do not email me to set up an initial appointment, as it is not a confidential form of communication.
I received my MA from Boston College where I studied Counseling Psychology. I then began my doctoral training at George Washington University with an emphasis on Adult Psychotherapy from a psychoanalytic perspective. Upon completion of my doctoral studies, I completed my internship and post-doctoral fellowship training at two inpatient psychiatric hospitals in the Boston area. There, I worked with people who were suffering from the most severe and retractable forms of mental illness. Those experiences taught me the deep and enduring value of comprehensive and collaborative care from a multi-disciplinary perspective. I carry those lessons with me to my current work in my private practice, where I emphasize and utilize my partnerships with physicians, naturopaths, and functional medicine doctors and nutritionists to provide the best standard of care.
In addition to my psychology training, I’ve studied extensively the use of mindfulness, functional medicine, hormones, and how food, medicine, and mood are interconnected.
