We’re kicking off National Engineering Week with some exciting news from the Association for Facilities Engineering: Please join us in congratulating Marcus Stahl on being named Rising Facility Engineer of the Year at AFE Forward 2026! 👏🥇

Marcus joined UG2 just over a year ago as a Utility Engineer supporting a client account in Sacramento, and has already made an incredible impression. Coming from a family of building engineers, Marcus truly embodies the next generation of talent in our industry and was recently promoted to Apprentice Engineer.

His selection over several outstanding candidates across the region speaks volumes about his work ethic, curiosity, and passion for learning. He's been fortunate to have inspiring mentors along the way, including his father, Warren Stahl, who is an Engineering Manager, and his current Chief Engineer, Robert Heckman.

This February, UG2 recognizes National Cancer Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about prevention, early detection, and healthy choices.

Several members of our Northern California team were proud to join industry peers at a sold-out Brunch N Learn hosted by BOMA Sacramento/Central Valley, where the conversation focused on construction documents and the upcoming 2026 code changes.

With new building standards taking effect across California in 2026, staying informed is essential for managing risk, maintaining compliance, and keeping projects on track.

We’re especially proud of UG2’s own Matt Montanez, Regional Engineering Manager for Northern California, who served as a featured speaker on the expert panel.
