Take a look back at what brought the global value-based healthcare community together 🤝

The ICHOM Conference is more than an annual event. It’s where healthcare leaders are recognized for advancing outcomes that truly matter to patients, and where the next chapter of value-based care starts to take shape.

Through real-world case studies, peer exchange, and direct access to global experts, the conference builds clarity, confidence, and momentum you take back into your organization. Not just to participate, but to lead.

ICHOM 2026 doesn’t begin in December. It begins now.

ICHOM, with the support and sponsorship of Bupa Arabia and , has delivered an important update to the ICHOM Pregnancy and Childbirth (PCB) Set, shaped by global expertise and lived experience 🌎

Bupa Arabia was recognized to sponsor this initiative due to their first in kind VBHC collaboration with four different providers focusing on Maternity and Childbirth PROMs and the subsequent impact improving maternity care delivery in the Saudi Arabia Healthcare private sector by measuring what matters most to patients. This pilot project enabled Bupa Arabia to support two participating providers in receiving ICHOM Level 1 Accreditation - a testament to the scalability of person-centered value in maternity care.

For the Set update, a Steering Committee of 15 international experts from 9 countries, including clinicians, researchers, implementers, and consumer representatives, came together to ensure the Set reflects what truly matters in pregnancy and childbirth care.

What’s new in the updated PCB Set:
• Updated timelines introducing a pragmatic minimum standard alongside an aspirational benchmark to support adoption across diverse settings
• Refined case-mix variables with greater harmonization across ICHOM Sets and a new measure to capture social support
• Enhanced PROMs and PREMs, including a new measure for shared decision-making around pain relief, streamlined quality-of-life reporting, and screening for depression and anxiety
• A defined Primary Subset to help implementers focus on the most critical clinical and patient-reported outcomes

This update strengthens the PCB Set’s usability while keeping patient experience at the center of measurement and improvement.

One day to go! Last chance to join tomorrow’s live webinar on ICHOM Accreditation 📢

Hear directly from the organizations putting accreditation into practice, not theorizing about it.

You’ll learn from leaders at Singapore General Hospital, European Medical Center Jeddah, and Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) Thailand, sharing what the accreditation journey actually looks like inside large, complex healthcare systems.

In this session, you’ll get:
✔️ Why organizations commit to ICHOM Accreditation
✔️ What the journey looks like in reality, not the brochure version
✔️ The tangible impact accreditation is having on patient care and clinical teams

🌎 Bladder cancer is one of the most recurrent cancers worldwide, and its impact does not end at diagnosis.

Yet patient voices are still underrepresented in how outcomes are defined and measured.

ICHOM is developing a Bladder Cancer Set to capture the outcomes that truly matter to patients, including long-term physical, emotional, and quality-of-life impacts that clinical data alone cannot reflect.

We are inviting patients and caregivers to join the Bladder Cancer Set Working Group and help shape a global standard for better, more patient-centered care.

Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) is the first provider globally to achieve Level 2
Certification under the ICHOM Accreditation Program. Congratulations to the entire BDMS
team whose sustained commitment made this milestone possible 👏

This achievement reflects independently verified outcomes measurement in practice, spanning
Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, where Stroke and Coronary Artery Disease outcomes are being used
to inform care, and , where Non-metastatic Breast Cancer
outcomes support clinical decision-making across the care pathway.

Level 2 Certification goes beyond implementation. It recognizes organizations that have embedded high-quality outcomes data into everyday care and can demonstrate how that data
is being used to improve treatment decisions, recovery, and long-term outcomes.

BDMS’s achievement sets a new reference point for what patient-centered, outcomes-driven
care can look like when measurement is treated as a tool for action, not reporting.

We’re pleased to welcome Saudi German Health as a Leadership Partner 🤝 This partnership builds on Saudi German Health’s demonstrated commitment to patient-centered outcomes, including becoming the first hospital in Saudi Arabia to achieve Level 1 Accreditation with the ICHOM Diabetes Set.

Accreditation at this level reflects more than implementation. It signals a structured approach to measuring outcomes that matter to patients and using those insights to inform care delivery and improvement.

As a Leadership Partner, Saudi German Health brings valuable experience and perspective to the ICHOM community, particularly in advancing outcomes measurement across diverse healthcare settings.

We look forward to working together to support broader adoption of standardized, patient-centered outcomes as a foundation for value-based care. Learn more about this longstanding partnership here 👉 https://www.ichom.org/saudi-german/

Understanding what matters most to patients is fundamental to providing truly patient-centered care and to healthcare improvement. Given the important role of PROs in ICHOM core outcome sets, ICHOM is pleased to participate with the , which helps navigate the use of PROs in clinical trials and clinical practice 🏥

Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are patients’ own reports of how they feel, function, and live their lives. The PROTEUS website includes tools and resources that promote the effective capture and communication of PROs. For practices and health systems aiming to implement PRO collection as part of routine care, The PROTEUS Guide to Implementing Patient-Reported Outcomes in Clinical Practice provides step-by-step guidance for designing, implementing, and managing PRO systems.

PROTEUS also provides a curated collection of core methodologic tools plus original checklists, videos, and reporting templates to guide and strengthen the use of PRO data in clinical trials. All are carefully reviewed, non-commercial, nonpartisan, and free.
