Shout out to our BU Orthopedic Physical Therapy Graduates Amanda Bui and Megan O’Keefe (SAR DPT ‘23, BUOPTR ‘24), whose residency capstone research was featured at the APTA 2025 Combined Sections Meeting in Houston, TX last week! Their project looked at a modified treatment-based classification system for low back pain, how accurately clinicians can apply the classification system, and how this correlates to outcomes. Big things are happening in clinical research at BUPTC!

Congratulations to our two newest clinicians to be recognized as Fellows of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy! Dr. Sara Rowlands, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, and Dr. Jake Marsden, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT. Fellowship status represents a level of excellence in clinical practice that combines highly skilled hands-on care with expert level clinical reasoning. This brings our current total number of FAAOMPT’s currently practicing at BUPTC to a lucky 13. Congrats Sara and Jake- we are so proud of you!
