Boston College EMS

Boston College EMS is a student-run, all-volunteer, quick response, emergency medical service that has served the Boston College community since 1997.

We provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care, through highly trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), at numerous school-sponsored events and functions. Additionally, in early 2012, Boston College EMS added a Class V non-transporting ambulance to our coverage. The ambulance is operated 7 days a week and responds to all campus emergencies. We also are responsible for running various training courses in CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Medical Education, and promote EMS awareness and campus safety to the entire university community.

Our November Member of the Month is 🚨Ryan Andrews🚨!! Ryan Andrews has been an outstanding coordinator throughout the year. He consistently attends all football operations meetings and has played a leading role in managing the special events draft over the past 11 months. In addition, as a driver, Ryan has taken the initiative to train new members on our protocols and provide guidance and support during the ranking process. His leadership and dedication have been invaluable to the team. We appreciate all your hard work Ryan!! 🚑

Last weekend BCEMS ran our annual MCI drill! These drills are done to ensure our team is prepared for any large emergencies on campus. Our crews worked diligently together through 3 different scenarios triaging “victims” and providing patient care. We also had a blast as you can see🚨
