A Story We’re Honored to Share.

We recently received an email from a longtime patient that so beautifully reflects what’s possible when care is rooted in listening, curiosity, and connection. Her journey is one many people can relate to and we want you to know, you’re not alone.

After years of pelvic pain, urgency, and muscle tension following IUD removal, she found her way back to Wellest feeling unsure but hopeful. Through careful listening and a whole-person lens, our team recognized there was more going on than pelvic floor dysfunction alone.

With the right referrals and support, she was ultimately diagnosed with endometriosis and possible adenomyosis - conditions that had gone undetected for years. Following surgery, she shared that for the first time, her care feels rooted in progress, not just survival.

Her words remind us why listening deeply matters and how life-changing it can be when care is connected, intentional, and truly collaborative. If you’ve wondered whether pelvic floor physical therapy could support you, we’d love to have that conversation with you. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Postpartum changes can feel confusing, especially when no one talks about them.

If you’re experiencing dryness, discomfort, painful s*x, or urinary changes while breastfeeding, you’re not alone. Low estrogen during lactation can affect vaginal and urinary tissues in very real ways.

For some people, low-dose vaginal estrogen can be a helpful, localized option as part of a comprehensive care plan. Fortunately, we have an amazing NP on our team who collaborates with our therapists and can prescribe estrogen for patients who need it.

This is about collaboration - not quick fixes. It’s about care that sees the whole you.

If this resonates, talk with a provider who understands postpartum physiology and pelvic health.

When someone takes the time to truly see you, it shows.

We’re deeply grateful to Andrea of Servidone Studios for capturing our team with such care during our recent Wellest photoshoot. Her calm, thoughtful presence made it easy to feel at ease and fully ourselves in front of the camera. Andrea brings the same intention to all of her work - from families and newborns to weddings and beyond - and it’s felt in every image. We couldn’t recommend her more.

Check out Andrea by visiting or www.servidonestudios.com

There’s something magical about a warm cookie on a quiet Friday night, or a fresh bouquet that brightens your space.

We love supporting , a small, women- and mom-owned business founded by our dear friend Chantelle - an ICU nurse practitioner, talented singer, and endlessly creative human. Every creation, from hand-crocheted baby blankets to her stunning floral arrangements, is made with care, intention, and a touch of love.

Her ready-to-bake cookie dough is a perfect example: made in small batches with high-quality ingredients, frozen immediately so it’s always ready when you need a cozy, comforting treat. Whether it’s a gift for someone special or a little self-care for yourself, everything she makes feels thoughtful, joyful, and full of heart.

Check out to order your own handmade goods!

We’re growing our Boston-based pelvic health team!

We’re seeking a full-time pelvic floor therapist with a minimum of two years of pelvic health experience who wants to practice in a way that feels unrushed, relationship-centered, and deeply human.

At Wellest, clinicians are given the time, trust, and autonomy to care for the whole person. We offer one-on-one, hour-long sessions, meaningful mentorship, and a calm, collaborative environment where curiosity, presence, and clinical integrity are valued.

If you’re drawn to care that is gentle, rooted, and deeply intentional - and want to feel supported as a whole person at work - we’d love to hear from you!

Please submit your resume and cover letter to hello@wellesthealth.com or visit our website for more information.

We’re so pleased to share that Dr. Melissa was recently featured in a Parents.com interview about how childbirth truly affects the body.

Pregnancy and childbirth profoundly affect both body and mind, with recovery often taking a year or more as every part of the body adjusts. From physical changes like hemorrhoids to mental health shifts driven by fluctuating hormones, understanding these often-overlooked postpartum changes helps people make sense of their bodies and advocate for the care they deserve.

It’s so encouraging to see more honest, physiological conversations about pregnancy and postpartum changes. Check out our stories for the link!

If you’re wondering whether pelvic floor therapy might be right for you, we’re here to help and always happy to talk with you.

Pelvic pain is complex, which means treatment should be thoughtful and individualized.

Pelvic floor therapy is a specialized approach that looks at how the muscles, joints, nerves, and breathing patterns of the pelvis are working together or not.

Rather than chasing symptoms, at Wellest we focus on truly understanding root causes and supporting your body’s ability to heal. Progress often comes from small, intentional changes over time - not quick fixes.

If pelvic pain is affecting your comfort, movement, or quality of life, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Learning more or speaking with a pelvic floor therapist can be a meaningful first step - reach out today.

January 23rd is National Maternal Health Awareness Day. The theme for this year is “Holding Ground on Maternal Health”.

The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) is reaffirming their commitment to preventing maternal deaths and advancing respectful, evidence-based care. Their goal is to ensure all mothers have access to high quality care.

We know what it takes to save lives and change the trajectory of maternal deaths. From equitable access to quality prenatal and postpartum care, to community-centered support that meets every parent where they are. Yet, federal investment in maternal health programs has weakened at a time when stability and expansion are most needed.

We support the ACOG today and everyday as well as their initiatives to make maternal health care a priority from prenatal, postpartum, and throughout the first year of a newborn’s life.

Your body has just done something extraordinary.

The postpartum period is a time of healing, recalibration, and learning how to listen again.
Pelvic floor care is an essential (and often overlooked) part of recovery - no matter how you gave birth. Starting with gentle breath and movement helps re-establish connection, support healing, and lay the foundation for strength later on.

Move slowly. Rest often. And remember: support is not a luxury - it’s part of care. If you’re navigating postpartum recovery and want personalized guidance, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Reach out to learn how we can help guide your recovery.
