Everything looks calmer in the snow.
The world slows down... and so can you.

Stress is a natural response to changes in life and our body has built in mechanisms to manage occasional stress.

Excessive or chronic stress can lead to health problems.

Sometimes we just need space to settle.

Take a breath today.

Step outside for a few minutes.

Let the stillness remind your body it's safe to soften.

You don't have to carry everything at once.

Even nature pauses.

Today's reset:
Inhale for 4
Exhale for 6
Repeat for one minute and feel your shoulders drop.

Your nervous system is always listening.

Speak to it with calm.

Super Bowl Sunday is here and let’s be honest — it’s usually a day of indulging in many unhealthy snacks.

How about a Super Bowl snack that actually nourishes your body and helps to manage your stress?

Meet the new MVP of your snack table: the Avocado.🥑

Avocados are high fiber and heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. These fats and fiber help support healthy cholesterol levels, reduce inflammation, and keep you feeling satisfied longer.

Avocados contain magnesium and B Vitamins which help regulate the nevous system, relax muscles and support better sleep. Stress can deplete magnesium and make you feel tense and anxious. B Vitamins nourish the brain and adrenal glands, helping the body respond more calmly to stress.

Avocados also support good gut health, which plays a key role in producing serotonin — one of our “feel-good” neurotransmitters.

🥑 Easy Guacamole Recipe

2 ripe avocados
Juice of 1 lime
2 tbsp chopped red onion
1 small tomato, diced
1 tbsp chopped cilantro
Sea salt to taste
Jalapeño, diced and remove seeds

Mash, mix, and enjoy.

As a health coach, I see alot of people who are chronically stressed. Our bodies are designed to handle short bursts of stress, as it is part of our survival instinct. But when stress becomes chronic, your body stays stuck in “survival mode,” and that’s where problems begin.

What happens in survival mode?

Your body releases cortisol nonstop.

Digestion slows down because your body thinks it needs to run, not rest.

Blood sugar and blood pressure rise to keep you “alert.”

Hormones get thrown off balance, affecting sleep, mood, and even weight.

Over time, this constant state of stress leads to fatigue, inflammation, skin flare-ups, weight gain, and a weaker immune system.

The good news? You can teach your body it’s safe to move out of survival mode—through breathwork, better sleep, nourishing foods, and practices that calm your nervous system.

Your body doesn’t want to just survive. It’s meant to thrive.
