As of 3/21/2026, we have stopped providing mobile massage as a common service.

Due to inflation, gas prices, and the economy, we can no longer justify the time-to-cost that is required for mobile. While we did not explain in detail on our website, we will explain with a bit more information here.

Many people, rightfully, assume that we charge more for mobile because we have to haul gear, factor in gas costs and travel time. This is all part of it, yes. However, what many overlook is the actually time block required for mobile massage.

For example, in the clinic, from 1 to 4pm, a therapist can work 2 to 3 jobs. For mobile, those three hours are all spent on one hour of massage because the drive time and possible traffic delays require padding time before and after. So, if someone booked a 90 minute, we now loose nearly 4 hours of time for an hour and a half of work. The $40 increase for mobile is not making up for that extra time that could be spent working in the clinic.

More so, looking at recent data, only 1 or 2 mobile bookings come in every other month or so, meaning more people choose to come to clinic because it is cheaper and easier.

For all the reasons above, we felt it in our best interest to stop providing it as a main service.

While we do still offer a 1-hour session mobile for those who cannot leave their home for whatever reason (injury, kids, etc), that is all we will offer going forward. It is does come with a significant price jump to make up for the loss time-to-income ratio.

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and we thank those who used our mobile services over the years from the bottom of our hearts as you helped us build After Life Massage to the successful business it is now. 💕

With a heavy heart, to those of our clients who knew of her or had met her, we are sad to inform that Iris, L'Nai's retired Service Dog, passed away Christmas morning (by her own terms) at the age of thirteen.

She will be forever loved. Forever missed.
She is now free of pain and is watching and waiting for the day they meet again.

After a few years, we've noticed that our clients rely on us to have same or next day availability. This has led to almost 99% of our clients being last minute bookers, including our regulars. While we are completely fine with last-minute bookings, we had one major concerns.

Every week, it makes our schedule look empty, especially to new clientele. We worried about whether this made us look like we weren't a desired service (despite our many 5-stars on Google and positive feedback). Each day, we usually get people booking, often with only an hours notice, but others cannot see this and that was the concern.

So, after some chat, we decided to do a little rebranding. The name and such is all the same, but we decided to change our overall look to be an 'Urgent Care' for massage therapy, so our last minute booking style is more intentional now, while also being upfront that we do work with people long term if they so choose.

Sudden injury? We got you!
Bad day and need to unwind? We got you!
Finally can't take that stiff neck after a week of pushing through it? Come on in!

We edited our site www.afterlifemassage.com and we also changed our ads. We recently released a new one with a new video.

We're hoping this creates a new flow of clientele that can rely on us when they need help sooner instead of needing to wait weeks to get on the books with other companies that are prebooked.

Exciting News!

You asked, we listened - well, we did our best.
Mid-March, we'll be starting a loyalty program (exact date TBD).

We had to figure out a way to offer what we could with the equipment/programs we have to best keep things organized.
In the end, we realized that would need to be a simple punch card.

For every ten accumulated massages (60-minutes or longer), you'll earn a FREE 60-minute massage (which can also be used to discount longer durations).

These can be accumulated over time or through prepurchase.*
*Prepurchase requires prebooking along with other terms and conditions that can be discussed with your therapist.

*Loyalty program points only include massages 60-minutes or longer. Points/Punches are not earned for shorter durations.
*The free 60-Minute massage cannot be split apart for shorter durations.

When the program starts, we'll make a follow-up post. :)

If there is one thing we learn from our clients when misunderstandings or miscommunications happen is that more paperwork is required so that all doubt can be removed about what was discussed in the past.

Though situations like these are rare, we take them as learning opportunities for ourselves as to find ways to avoid the same thing happening in the future.

Sometimes, extra paperwork is key to ensure all parties understand what is agreed to and that there can be no doubt if it's disputed.

Thankfully, this new paperwork is only for very specific situations and our regular clientele won't need to worry about another form to sign among the many we already have prepared for them. 😅🫣

We've updated our site to our new 2025 look! We're quite happy with its new design!

The new site reflects our new mobile prices, but our booking form will continue to reflect current 2024 prices until January 1st.

In-Clinic prices will NOT be changing and will remain the same in 2025 as 2024. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer our mobile services at the old lower price and this jump in cost is a bit extreme compared to our normal slow-rising of our prices, but it is one that we have been needing to do in order to ensure mobile therapy can still be offered when it's needed or wanted.

Our cheaper clinic option will still be available for those able to travel to us. Thank you for understanding. :)

This is a friendly reminder from After Life Massage to all readers that 'No-Showing' is rude and inconsiderate to the staff. While things happen and we understand sudden cancellation within reason, simply not showing up to your appointment without so much as a text to cancel is not acceptable outside of extreme emergencies, especially as a joke or to purposely waste a therapist's time.

We recently had someone request a massage last minute only to not show. Then, this morning (the very day after), another client books and then does not show. After, we realize that the number of today's client was one was one off from the day before. We believe this is the same person and that this was likely done intentionally to waste time or an attempt at harassment.

Why? We don't know.

However, such actions are not only a waste of valuable time, gas and availability to others, it is punishing the therapist booked for the job.

If these sorts of actions continue, we will be forced to require a deposit of partial payment to even book an appointment, which we have strived not to do for as long as possible as we don't wish for the bad-apples to cause hassle for loyal clients.

Please, don't play these games.

If you must cancel, contact the therapist or company and let them know. Doing so allows them to give you leeway to come again because we do understand that things happen, people get sick or hurt, schedules change, etc.

No-Showing is how you get banned from future services.
