The UWB Counseling center is a free resource for currently enrolled UWB and Cascadia College students. Also remember anyone can call 988 for 24/7 mental health crisis support.

Today is the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month which runs for 30 days between September 15th and October 15th to coincide with the independence days of several south and central American countries. Check out https://www.cha.wa.gov/emotional-and-mental-resources for mental health/wellness resources geared toward the Hispanic community, including podcasts and YouTube channels. Also remember that all clinicians at the Counseling Center practice form a place of cultural humility and take each client’s cultural background and identity into consideration when providing mental health services.

Yoga offers so many benefits including exercise, mindfulness skills, stress reduction, and could even improve your heart health.
