Muscle and strength loss after any surgery is inevitable. But, there are ways to minimize loss and give yourself the best chance at regaining it as quickly as possible. Blood Flow Restriction training has been around for a while and continues to be used in the high school, collegiate and professional settings.

This allows you to use a very light resistance, or no resistance at all, to minimize strain on the surgical area while helping build muscle as if you were lifting heavier. It’s a little bit of a work around to trick the body.

If you’ve used it, I’m sure you appreciate the burn!

Strength training at a young age has more benefits than most people realize. Research shows that kids and teens can improve their strength by 30–50% in just 8–12 weeks of consistent training. Even better, those gains aren’t short-lived.

If athletes can commit to just two days a week, the improvements are not only maintained but set the foundation for long-term growth, performance, and resilience.

We also understand many athletes are already getting a day of lifting with their sport. That’s why even adding one extra day a week with us can make a big difference. It’s a chance to focus on the areas that team lifts may not cover, filling in the gaps, reducing injury risk, and creating more well-rounded athletes.

Sign up through the Acuity link in the description of our page! We offer Athlete Training Classes, Athlete Strength Classes, and Athlete Assessments. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out and message us, and we will get back with you as soon as we can.

Did you know that resistance training is not only safe for kids, but one of the best ways to support their overall development growing up. Recent studies have shown that youth training helps build stronger bones, improves coordination, and reduces injury risk, all while giving them confidence in a workout setting.

Our Youth Training Classes are designed to do exactly that. We create a fun, supportive environment where kids can develop strength, speed, and body control in ways that are beneficial as they grow older. Whether your child is playing sports or just wants to be active, resistance training builds a foundation that will benefit them in many different ways.

We currently hold a Youth Training class every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:15pm. Ages for the class are limited to 8 to 12 years old. To sign up you can use the Acuity app that we have linked in our page description, feel free to message us with any questions! Also, any current youth in the youth training classes can bring a friend to earn a free class. There is no limit as to how many friends you can bring, but 1 Friend = 1 Free Class. This deal will go until October 16th, we hope to see you in the gym!

Strength training for athletes isn't just for the off-season. It is a crucial part of an athlete’s development. Stronger athletes sprint faster, jump higher, change direction quicker, and it lowers their risk of injury. If athletes don’t engage in a training program during the season, they can lose the strength and power that gives them that advantage on the field or court.

In-season training doesn’t have to be long or exhausting. With just 1-2 focused sessions per week, athletes can maintain or even build strength while staying fresh for practices and games. This keeps their muscles, joints, and the nervous system strong, so athletes recover quickly and perform better when they need it most.

Studies have shown that after 4-6 weeks without strength training there are noticeable decreases in strength. As the season goes on if an athlete goes 8 weeks with any kind of resistance or strength training the body will return close to its pre training state.

Keeping up wth strength training means your athlete can perform better, stay healthier, and continue to grow throughout the entire season.

Interested in Athlete Training sessions? We currently have classes every day except Friday and Sunday. Check out the Acuity link in our description to see the times and get your athlete prepared for their season! We also offer athlete assessments, which allow for individualized assessments of the athlete for a deeper look at what could potentially get worked on and what the goals of the athlete are.
