A kind reminder to all: after a lovely Thanksgiving with my loved ones, I was enjoying a quiet evening. I had not anticipated being a witness to a vehicle accident, a very disturbing end to an otherwise beautiful day. PLEASE do not get behind the wheel when under the influence, the life you may endanger may not be your own. If you are with someone making poor decisions and do not speak out, you are just as much to blame. Take care of yourself this holiday season and take care of others. Let this be a Season of Loving one another.

Another example of making today's styles work for you. A turned up, frayed hem jeans too long in the leg.
Sew up the excess fabric
tuck inside the turned up hem
add a discrete zigzag stitch to hem edge to keep the fraying under control
add stitch to side seams to keep that cute fold intact
giving those adorable frayed edges a haircut....entirely up to you!

Now you see me, now you don't!! Have that favorite pair of jeans that are just as bit too long but you love the bottom hem (it shows a bit of your spunky personality)? Let's take out a bit of that excess length, finish the raw edge to prevent fraying and add a discreet seam above the original hem. Easy-peasy and your personality is shining bright.
