Our signature caregiver education workshop, Neurodiversity 101, is this week! ♾️

Join us for an enriching clinician-led group designed to help caregivers deepen their understanding of the neurodiversity affirming approach.

In this one-hour workshop, we’ll explore:
✨What the neurodiversity affirming approach is
✨How affirming practices differ from traditional behavioral strategies
✨Practical, compassionate strategies to support your child’s unique needs
✨Evidence-based outcomes of neurodiversity affirming care for both you and your child

We wanted to share a few highlights from our recent caregiver education workshop, Short Days, Big Feelings, that our caregivers found helpful! Workshops are a great opportunity for parents to ask questions, learn practical strategies from our skilled and insightful clinicians, and connect with other caregivers.

We hope these tips provide a helpful starting point for navigating the winter season with confidence. Stay tuned for more opportunities to join our caregiver workshops in the new year!

Drop off non-perishable food or personal hygiene items in the donation boxes in our building lobby, or use the link in our bio to donate funds.

Most needed items include:

🔹 canned meats
🔹 dried beans, pasta, whole grains

Happy World OT Day!

This year, we’re highlighting an incredible experience from our admin assistant, Anna, who traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand through Therapy Abroad.

During the trip, the group partnered with:
✨ Thomas House, a nonprofit school that provides individualized education plans and therapeutic services to neurodiverse children free of cost
✨ Dublabhatorn Foundation, a nonprofit that supports children with physical disabilities through meaningful participation in recreation, crafts, and family-centered programs
✨ Rajanagarindra Institute of Child Development, a therapeutic center offering multidisciplinary services and advancing research in child development

We’re grateful to be part of a profession that connects communities around the world!

🐕‍🦺 Meet Cordelia, the newest member of our team!

Cordelia "Cordie" is a sweet 2-year-old Labrador/Golden Retriever cross who was expertly trained by to work as a facility dog at Blume. She loves meeting new people and giving them a handshake to say hello!
