My article on advocacy work to expose family court corruption, domestic violence, and state-sanctioned child abuse went live today. Thank you so much to Voyage Denver for the courage to publish this raw and honest article appropriately titled, “Life, Lessons, and Legacy” in their Metro Highlighter series. I will be speaking to Dave Weigel of Family Court Fraud Warrior PROJECT at 3pm MST today about this legal warfare in our family court systems, and I will be in DC on 10/22 to support the Family Justice and Accountability Act ©️2025 drafted by Francesca Amato of Punished 4 Protecting in presenting it to Congress. My goal is to continue bringing change to the family court crisis in America, and to bring my daughters home to safety, along with everyone else’s children. There is also a link to my memoir about breaking the cycle of violence and spiritual awakening that was released on Audible in September 2025. We went live on National Daughter Day—God has a plan. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month.

This is for every mother who unalived herself, succumbed to drugs and alcohol abuse to cope, became homeless, abandoned her children because the courts left her with no means to survive or option to go “no contact”, or died of other symptoms and actions stemming from domestic violence.

We don’t hear from survivors of Domestic Violence because many of them don’t survive. If you feel confused reading pieces of their pleas, that’s because you are witnessing someone being abused.

During the feminist movement of the 60s/70s they passed a “no fault divorce”, where women no longer had to prove physical abuse or adultery to divorce. The patriarchy and court system doesn’t like it. So when you divorce with children they make 50/50 “co-parenting” rulings that do not allow you to be free of contact. They also allow massive financial and litigation abuse, which is essentially the unspoken “punishment” for divorcing and reporting abuse. When the powers that be want to create the illusion of equality and freedom, they pass new policies, but find other ways to keep the status quo. And we thought we were paying taxes to help women and children—think again.

Domestic Violence is about control and harm. We made physical abuse illegal (it used to be legal to beat your wife). Now they have an alternative—it’s the white collar wife beating. The effects of financial and litigation abuse can last much longer, and it can kill you too. In a capitalist society, without money, you are as good as dead. It feels like they want to wipe women who speak up from existence.

To write about these truths sends a cortisol response through my body. In addition to the severe risk speaking up puts a victim/survivor in, I imagine the nervous system response and subsequent brain fog is why most women don’t speak or written about it. But I did.

This is a quote from Electric Katieland: A Journey of Awakening. This is the memoir of my spiritual awakening. It is a story of clairvoyance. And it is also my story of surviving domestic violence. And maybe, most importantly, it is the story of my childhood, which laid the foundation that set me up for risk of experiencing domestic violence as a mother. A notable part of my early life story, is that it sounds like many middle-class families in America. That’s what’s alarming. That’s also why it is important to tell this story. When I began writing this, I was trapped in a marriage that I felt I may not ever get out of alive. I wanted to document my life so I would have something for my daughters to later read and understand what happened, in my words. My memoir includes nothing of the post-separation divorce abuse that I have been subjected to. The unfortunate truth is when a woman divorces from domestic violence, it almost always gets worse. With litigation and financial abuse in a capitalist society, you are abused and your life is still at risk in other ways. I currently experience a myriad of stress-related health conditions that are debilitating. There’s nothing that can make up for the loss of generational wealth and the presence it would take away from my children. Please like, comment, and share my content and book information.
